The disclosure relates to a titanium alloy, in particular to be used for biocompatible implants, which contains no aluminum (Al), vanadium (V), cobalt (Co), chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni) and tin (Sn) and contains at least the following alloy components in wt % in addition to inevitable trace amounts of impurities contained in the alloy components or absorbed during the production: a) 0.2 to 1.5% oxygen (O), b) 0.1 to 1.5% iron (Fe), c) 0.01 to 2% carbon (C), d) the remainder being titanium (Ti).

Titanium alloy

A bone plate has a through-hole that extends from an upper side to a bone-side underside of the bone plate. A lip is formed in the through-hole, which lip projects from the lateral surface of the through-hole and extends in the circumferential direction of the through-hole. The lip extends over part of the circumference of the through-hole. In a circumferential section of at least 120&#xb0; that lies opposite the lip, the lateral surface is free of a lip. Material is reshaped only to a lesser extent compared to a lip that extends over the entire circumference of the through-hole. The risk of complications occurring due to deposited particles is reduced.

Bone plate

The invention relates to a bone plate system with a bone plate, a pressure plate, and a bone screw. The bone plate comprises a through-hole, said through-hole having a seat surface with a variable angle for the bone screw. In the connected state of the system, the bone screw is inserted into the through-hole. The head of the bone screw is enclosed between the bone plate and the pressure plate. The pressure plate is fixed to the bone plate via a screw connection which has two securing screws. The axes of the securing screws spread apart such that the distance between the axes of the securing screws increases in the screw-in direction. The head of the bone screw is thereby reliably fixed between the pressure plate and the bone plate.

Bone plate system

An osteosynthesis system for treating fractures of tubular bones includes an intramedullary nail with an elongated nail body consisting of a hard metal material with two end sections and a middle section therebetween that has at least one transverse screw hole close to the end for screwing in at least one bone screw into each end section. The nail body is solid or has a through-channel arranged in the center in the cross-section of the nail body. In the middle section at least two transverse one-sided screw holes are placed proximate to a fracture. Screw holes are formed as inlays made out of soft metal material securely joined to the nail body, and bone screws with an initial thread consisting of hard metal material that can be screwed into the bone and screw holes while forming threads.

Osteosynthesis system for the multidirectional, angular-stable treatment of fractures of tubular bones comprising an intramedullary nail and bone screws

An osteosynthesis system for treating fractures of tubular bones includes an intramedullary nail with an elongated nail body consisting of a hard metal material with two end sections and a middle section that has at least one transverse screw hole close to the end for screwing in at least one bone screw into each end section. The subject matter of the invention is a load carrier for a bone fixation system, with a locally varying material strength with unchanging material elasticity, and a method for producing such a load carrier. The load carrier, matched in view of the load flow acting on the fixation system, can also be used in critical anatomical regions, e.g. for hand implants.

The repositioning and fixation system according to the invention comprises at least two bone plates that are designed to be interconnected. Each bone plate is provided with a connector element for connection to another bone plate. The connector element of a first bone plate comprises a plurality of projections. The connector element of a second bone plate comprises an opening. In a first connection state, the projections engage in the opening and produce a hinge-type connection between the first bone plate and the second bone plate. In a second connection state, the projections are tensioned and produce a rigid connection between the first bone plate and the second bone plate. With the repositioning and fixation system according to the invention, bone fragments secured to the bone plates can be repositioned by pivoting of the bone plates. Once the bone fragments have been brought to their final position, the projections can be tensioned in such a way that the bone plates are rigidly interconnected.
