An active vibration damper includes a lower outer wall for placement on a floor, and front and rear outer walls, with the front and/or rear outer wall including first and second receptacles in an outer side thereof. The first receptacle receives a permanent magnet and is pot-shaped to maintain a closed configuration of the front and/or rear outer wall. A primary part of an electrical linear actuator is fixed at least on an inside of the lower outer wall, and a secondary part is arranged above the primary part and acted upon by the primary part. Retaining elements fixed to an inside of the upper outer wall movably hold the secondary part for displacement in a substantially linear manner in a left-right direction when the primary part is correspondingly impinged on. A magnetic back iron yoke is received in the second receptacle at the height of the secondary part.

Active vibration damper, usable in a plurality of orientations

In a method for monitoring a magnetic bearing device for an electric rotating machine, a first pair of at least essentially diametrically opposed sensors and a second pair of at least essentially diametrically opposed sensors are arranged in offset relation about an angle. A distance is determined between each of the sensors and a body of rotation arranged inside the first and second pairs of sensors. A first average distance is determined from distance values of the first pair of sensors and a second average distance is determined from distance values of the second pair of sensors. A first change in the first average distance is captured and a second change in the second average distance is captured. The first and second changes are compared and a warning signal is outputted when a difference between the first and second changes exceeds a limit value.

The disclosure relates to a polyphase transverse flux machine including a stator and a rotor configured to rotate relative to the stator about an axis in a circumferential direction. The transverse flux machine includes an electrical line running along a plurality of yokes in the circumferential direction, and a pair of permanent magnet arrays running in parallel in the circumferential direction. A plurality of return path bodies is provided in the stator, wherein each yoke has an associated return path body at a distance from the associated yoke in the radial direction. The magnetization direction of the permanent magnets in the permanent magnet arrays changes in such a way that a closed magnetic flux repeatedly occurs at each yoke during rotation of the rotor. The closed magnetic flux runs from one permanent magnet array across a respective yoke to the other permanent magnet array, and from there, across the associated return path body, back to the first-mentioned permanent magnet array.

A control device of a processing machine actuates an axle drive of the processing machine commensurate with a reference displacement movement, displacing a mechanical structure of the processing machine accordingly. The control device determines an absolute movement of the mechanical structure in space and therefrom, taking into account the reference displacement movement of the mechanical structure, a compensation movement for a compensating mass damping a vibration of the mechanical structure. Arranged on the mechanical structure is a compensating drive which acts on the compensating mass. In a method for operating a three-phase inverter of a converter-fed magnetic bearing, two coils are connected to respective outputs of the three-phase inverter at one end and are connected to each other and to a third output of the three-phase inverter at the other end. A variable control current is injected into the third output. A constant bias current flows between the respective outputs and thus serially through the two coils. The control current is divided among the two respective outputs so as to flow parallel through the two coils. This arrangement significantly reduces the effective current load of the three-phase inverter and significantly increases the slew rate of the control current.

An active oscillation damper has a balancing mass which is movable relative to an oscillating mechanical structure. The control device then determines a compensation movement for the balancing mass based on a determined three-dimensional absolute motion of the mechanical structure. The balancing mass is displaced by the balancing drive relative to the mechanical structure commensurate with the determined compensation movement. The three-dimensional absolute motion of the mechanical structure is determined by the control device from the aforementioned values.

The invention relates to a magnetic bearing control device and the use of a three-phase converter for controlling a magnetic bearing. According to the invention, a three-phase converter () is used for controlling a magnetic bearing (), all three phase currents () of the converter () being used for controlling the magnetic bearing (). A first solenoid of a couple of solenoids () of the magnetic bearing () is connected to a first (U) and a third (W) phase current output of the converter () while a second solenoid of the couple of solenoids () is connected to the first (U) and a second (V) phase current output of the converter such that the couple of solenoids () can be differently controlled by means of said one converter (). The converter () can also be connected to magnetic bearings that already have a bias winding, which is advantageous for retrofitting such existing magnetic bearings, for example.

A piezo actuator includes an adaptation element, which is configured to adapt the piezo actuator to a controller for inductive loads, particularly to a converter for actuating inductive loads. The adaptation element allows use of controllers or converters of numerical control systems, which normally are used for actuating servo motors.
