A bending apparatus for rod-shaped and tubular workpieces, includes a rotatable bending mandrel with a bending groove is provided with a wrinkle smoothener, which immediately precedes the bending mandrel, and two sliding jaws. In order to change the bending direction around the bending mandrel, the sliding jaws can be moved to the other side thereof. In doing so, the sliding jaw on the side of the bending mandrel is arranged freely rotatable on a support axis, which extends parallel to the axis of rotation of the bending mandrel and whose position relative to the bending mandrel can be shifted parallel to the feeding direction of the workpiece. The sliding jaw is provided such that the end of its forming groove facing towards the bending mandrel can be placed in contact with the bending groove by shifting the support axis and, thus, its forming groove tangentially joins said groove.

Bending apparatus for rod-shaped and tubular workpieces

On a machine for bending rod-shaped or tubular workpieces, which includes a bending head having a bending mandrel mounted on a rotational axis and rotatable by means of a rotary drive, and having a clamping device for pressing the workpiece to be bent against a forming groove on the bending mandrel and also a feeding device for the workpiece to be processed, whereby the clamping device is positionable relative to the bending mandrel and can is also pivotable concentrically to the rotational axis of the bending mandrel, the clamping device is attached to two mutually independent rotary drives, one of which performs its pivoting movement about the rotational axis of the bending mandrel, and via the other of which it can be moved with respect to the bending mandrel by using an interposed conversion transmission that converts a rotary motion to a linear motion, whereby the bending head includes three concentrically nested rotary shafts for transmitting the drive of the three rotary drives to the bending mandrel, to the conversion transmission and to the clamping device, each of which is connected to one of the rotary drives.

Ram-side ejector device for workpieces in single-or multi-stage presses

In order to control, in a wire shaping apparatus with a rotatable wire intake device ( ), friction of the wire at the bore wall of a wire holder ( ) which finally leads the wire towards the shaping station, and in order to reduce it to zero if necessary, it is suggested to provide said apparatus, the wire holder ( ) of which can be rotated programmably controlled about the wire axis, with a remote controllable wire brake device ( ) which acts radially upon the wire being fed along, and the wire brake device is programmably controlled.

Apparatus for shaping wire into wire products

In a spring winding device for producing right-hand or left-hand helical springs from wire, with pull-in rollers, a wire guide and two winding apparatuses, each of which has a slide guide body with a slide displaceably arranged therein, every slide guide body is swivelable at its end remote of the wire guide around a swiveling axis directed vertical to the wire guide axis. The two winding apparatuses lie on different sides of the center plane, with a drive for the movement of the slide and a cam drive controlled by a cam disk for swiveling the slide guide body. A shared cam disk with two control portions and at least one rest portion is allocated to the two cam drives. Each control portion serves to introduce controlling movements in one of the two cam drives, while the rest portion, or every rest portion, does not introduce any controlling movements in the cam drive. By rotation of the cam disk, a control portion is connected to the associated cam drive, while the other cam drive contacts the rest portion, wherein the controlled cam drive cooperates in a program-controlled manner with the drive unit for the movement of one of the slides, while the drive unit of the other slide is switched off.

Spring winding device, particularly for spring winding machines

In order to control, in a wire shaping apparatus with a rotatable wire intake device (10), friction of the wire at the bore wall of a wire holder (52) which finally leads the wire towards the shaping station, and in order to reduce it to zero if necessary, it is suggested to provide said apparatus, the wire holder (52) of which can be rotated programmably controlled about the wire axis, with a remote controllable wire brake device (114) which acts radially upon the wire being fed along, and the wire brake device is programmably controlled.

The invention relates to a wire shaping device. State of the art: DE 39 15 784 C1 discloses a wire shaping device comprising a program controlled rotating and displacing head which carries shaping tools and on to which moves the wire arriving from a stationary wire intake device. DE 22 64 589 C3 discloses, in the context of a spiral spring winding machine, a device for simultaneously taking in and twisting the incoming wire for producing an initial tension in the spring body. One disadvantage of the known wire shaping device is the relatively limited shapes of wire which can be produced. It is an object of this invention to improve the known wire shaping device for the purpose of increasing the range of finished shapes of the wire structures. The solution to this problem lies in a combination of the known twisting device with the known wire shaping device so that the wire intake device is rotatable about the axis of the wire and is program controlled, optionally also in its direction of feed (backwards as well as forwards). The advantage of this solution is the additional degree of freedom of the wire movement, which increases the shaping possibilities.
