An elastic cleaning lip for cleaning a rotating roller of a drafting system of a textile machine includes a wiping edge configured at one longitudinal side of the cleaning lip. A mounting element is at an opposite longitudinal side of the cleaning lip and is configured to mount to a support element. The cleaning lip has a Y-shaped cross section having a stem and two essentially parallel legs, wherein the wiping edge is arranged at an end of the stem and the two legs form the mounting element for a form-locking mounting of the cleaning lip to the support element. The support element includes retainers at opposite longitudinal ends thereof and a mounting strip having lateral faces and top and bottom end faces arranged between the retainers. The lateral faces and the top end face are configured for the form-locking mounting with the cleaning lip.

The instant invention relates to a process and to a device for automatic introduction of a fiber sliver into a textile machine equipped with a feed mechanism. The end of the fiber sliver is brought into a defined receiving position in which it is introduced into the feed mechanism. A predetermined length of the end of the fiber sliver is seized. The present invention relates to a process to piece a yarn (2) to an open-end spinning device (1), in which a plurality of handling devices (4) on a service unit (3) traveling alongside a plurality of identical open-end spinning devices (1) execute different work motions and in which a yarn end is taken over by a presentation device (31) and is conveyed to the open-end spinning device (1), and is then returned into same for piecing. In this process all the handling devices (4) go through a joint motion phase and if necessary through an individual motion phase. An apparatus is provided for the transfer of a thread (1) carried in a low pressure air stream being delivered to a rotating spool (7) with which a capture apparatus (4) runs in synchronism for the pick-up of the thread (1) which is set before it by a thread dispensing unit for this purpose. In a spinning and winding machine, a continuously fed yarn is wound into a cross-wound bobbin. When a predetermined diameter of the cross-wound bobbin has been reached, the cross-wound bobbin is replaced by an empty bobbin holder. The yarn is moved to a lateral area next to the winding zone. The yarn is guided during all winding and bobbin replacement processes by a microprocessor-controlled step motor, by means of a cross-winding guide.
