A gasification burner for a multiple-burner arrangement in an entrained-flow gasifier, in which the gasification burner extends along a main axis and in which the media for the gasification reaction in the gasification burner are guided in separate media channels and exit at the burner mouth in a direction having an angle to the main axis that is not zero. A vertical installation with an optimally adaptable flame shape is provided. Depending on the orientation of the burners, the flame shape is adaptable, whether it be a minimized total flame diameter for an initial slag formation of the cooling screen or an increase in the total twist of the total flame for an increased particle deposition on the reactor wall. The gasification burner with angled burner tips can be used as part of a retrofit.

Angled main burner

For an in-line gasifier having a liquid cooled cooling jacket it is proposed to lead the inlet connectors and the outlet connectors for the cooling liquid through the side of the cylindrical pressure vessel, below the mounting flange for the vessel cover. This achieves a simplification in the mounting of the pressure vessel cover. Particular embodiments concern the bringing together of the upper ends and of the lower ends of several pipe runs coiled in parallel, in each case into a collector pipe which has a connector bush for cooling water.

A method and device for cooling hot crude gas and slag from entrained flow gasification of liquid and solid combustibles at crude gas temperatures ranging from 1,200 to 1,800&#xb0; C. and at pressures of up to 80 bar in a cooling chamber disposed downstream of the gasification reactor by injecting water. The cooling water is distributed, with a first portion being finely dispersed into to cooling chamber and a second portion being fed at the bottom into an annular gap provided between the pressure-carrying tank wall and an incorporated metal apron for protecting said pressure-carrying tank wall. The second portion of the cooling water flows upward in the annular gap and trickles down the inner side of the metal apron in the form of a water film.

Method and apparatus for cooling hot gases and fluidized slag in entrained flow gasification

Disclosed is a burner for oxidant gasification of pulverized fuels under high pressures, e.g. 80 bar, and temperatures, e.g. 1200 to 1900&#xb0; C., in reactors with liquid slag removal for oxygen gasification. The individual pulverized coal supply tubes in the burner are inclined toward the burner axis in the direction of the burner mouth, are implemented equiareally from the burner inlet up to the burner outlet, and end at the burner mouth adjacent to the oxidant outlet. Owing to the pulverized fuel feeding elements being implemented right up to the burner mouth and the instantaneous entry of the pulverized coal into the rotating oxygen stream there is no longer any areal discontinuity at the dust outlet, since here the pulverized coal stream is immediately sucked into the oxidant stream. At the outlet of the media the individual pulverized coal streams merge into a single rotating pulverized coal/oxygen stream, thereby achieving an even flame spread and stabilization.

Compact pulverized coal burner

An oil/slurry burner with injection atomization for the gasification of solids-containing liquid fuels under high pressures of e.g. 80 bar (8 MPa) and high temperatures of e.g. 1200 to 1900 degrees centigrade in reactors with liquid slag removal is proposed, wherein a plurality of feeding elements disposed outside the annular duct concentrically with respect to the burner axis are provided for introducing liquid fuel and atomizing agent, the individual feeding elements being implemented intrinsically straight in the burner, inclined to the burner axis in the direction of the burner mouth, and ending at the burner mouth adjacent to the oxidant outlet. By introducing the liquid fuel and atomizing agent in individual completely implemented tubes with a corresponding nozzle, different fuels can be supplied simultaneously via the individual feeds and converted in a flame reaction.

Oil/slurry burner with injection atomization

An appliance for the gasification of carbon- and ash-containing fuel, residual and waste materials using an oxygen-containing oxidizing agent at temperatures above the melting point of the inorganic fractions, in a reaction chamber which is designed as an entrained-bed reactor, at pressures between atmospheric pressure and 80 bar, preferably between atmospheric pressure and 30 bar, the contour of the reaction chamber being delimited by a cooled reactor wall. The cooled reactor wall having the following structure, from the outside inward: a pressure shell, a cooling wall, a water-cooled gap between the pressure shell and the cooling wall, a ceramic protection for the cooling wall, and a layer of slag. The pressure and temperature of the cooling gap between the pressure shell and the cooling wall is controlled in such a way that it can be operated above and below the boiling point of the cooling water. The pressure in the cooling gap is higher than the pressure in the gasification chamber.

Device for gasifying combustible materials, residues and waste materials containing carbon

The invention relates to a reactor vessel and method for the gasification of carbon-containing fuel, residual and waste materials using an oxygen-containing oxidizing agent and in a reaction chamber which is designed as an entrained-bed reactor, at pressures between ambient pressure and 80 bar, preferably between ambient pressure and 30 bar, the contour of the reaction chamber being delimited by a cooling system, and the pressure in the cooling system always being held at a higher level than the pressure in the reaction chamber, and the cooling system withstanding the maximum possible pressure difference with respect to the reaction chamber, which has been depressurized to atmospheric pressure, which reactor vessel is distinguished by the fact that cooling channels are formed by webs which are in contact both with a refractory protective layer and with the pressure shell.

Gasification reactor vessel

A device for utilizing combustion, residual and waste materials containing carbon and ash by gasification with an oxygen-containing oxidizing agent at temperatures above the melting point of the inorganic parts in a reaction chamber and at a pressure between ambient pressure and 60 bar. The reaction chamber contour is formed in part by a refractory-grade lining and in part by a cooling system comprising cooling coils connected in a gas-tight manner. The coils are coated with a thin layer of a ceramic mass that conducts heat well on a side facing the reaction chamber. The cooling coils are operated, while being cooled by pressurized water, below or above the boiling point of the cooling water.
