This invention concerns an infusion bag, especially for tea, which has a top part with folded down corners and a middle part folded over it, to which a string with two free ends is attached that goes from one side of the top part through a hole in the folded down parts forming a loop on the other side of the top part and comes back, whereby the two free ends are drawn up through the loop laid over the top edge of the infusion bag and pulled to form a knot. The solution in the invention is characterized by the fact that two holes are made in the top part at a lateral distance next to one another, on the left and right of the longitudinal axis of the bag; each hole goes through a folded down corner and the middle of the top part; by the fact that the string forms a loop and one end goes through one hole and the other end through the second hole; by the fact that the loop is laid over the top edge of the infusion bag, and both ends of the string go up through the loop to form a double knot. The invention relates to a method and a device for knotting the end of a thread to a flat object containing two spaced holes for the knot. The method provides the thread located in front of the holes is pulled to the other side of the object while forming loops, and in that the loop is rotated by at least 270&#xb0;. Subsequently the end of the thread is pulled through this loop and the knot that is formed is tightened. The device provides three tools, specifically two bars and a gripper.

Infusion bag with string

An apparatus removes textile articles such as empty tubes or full yarn packages from the individual posts on which such articles are supported simultaneous with advancing movement of the posts. The textile articles are removed in a direction generally parallel to the axis of the posts so that during removal detrimental binding of the textile article relative to the post does not occur. According to one aspect of the invention, at least one pair of endless belts are mounted in spaced, parallel relation to one another to form an elongate opening therebetween. The elongate opening is aligned with the travel path of the textile articles being advanced on the posts so that the textile articles automatically enter the elongate opening and are engaged by the endless belts without the need to stop or otherwise control the advancing movement of the textile articles. In another aspect of the invention, a pair of spaced, parallel elongate rollers are provided, the elongate rollers being rotated in opposite directions to effect removal of a textile article which has been advanced into the elongate opening formed between the rollers. The textile article removal apparatus preferably also includes a collection assembly for collecting removed textile articles in an orderly manner and an assembly for transporting loads of removed textile articles to a location for further handling.

A bobbin exchange apparatus is mounted in a traveling service unit and includes a component for temporarily supporting a bobbin, a component for transferring a bobbin between and among the creel and the spare bobbin frame of the textile machine and the traveling service unit, and a component for displacing the end of the roving of a full bobbin temporarily supported on the temporary supporting device to an extending disposition ready for engagement for feeding to the drafting device of the textile machine. A suction applying device for applying the suction to engage the roving end is pivotally mounted to the temporary supporting component for pivoting about an axis parallel and offset from the axis of the temporarily supported full roving bobbin. An intermediate engaging member mounted to the temporary supporting component for pivoting about the axis of the full roving bobbin includes a hook end portion for engaging the roving end. The suction applying device and the intermediate engaging member are synchronously pivoted in opposite pivoting directions to effect alignment of the roving end of the full roving bobbin for gripping by a roving feeder gripper. The roving feeder gripper subsequently pieces the gripped roving end with the roving of a nearly exhausted roving bobbin.

An apparatus for automatic exchange of at least one full bobbin with at least one empty bobbin in a flyer, i.e. a flyer doffer, comprises a transport device reaching the flyer acting to transport the full bobbins and the empty bobbins, a doffing region and a mounting region which reach the spindles of the flyer for groupwise exchange of the full bobbins with the empty bobbins on the spindles and a lifting region reaching the transport device for groupwise exchange of the full with empty roving bobbins on the transport device. The doffing region and the mounting region on one hand and the lifting region on the other hand are spatially separate from each other. An exchanging region extending to the doffing, mounting and lifting regions is provided. Advantageously the doffing region and the mounting region are combined in a single doffing and mounting region.
