A travel measuring and control device for a vehicle transmission has a measuring arrangement with one or more measuring elements cooperating with a selector shaft of the transmission and with a measuring device cooperating with the measuring element. The measuring element has one or more measuring surfaces having an incline in an axial direction and in a rotational direction of the selector shaft. An adjustable sensing element rests against the measuring surface and is operatively connected with the measuring device. The measuring element is preferably axially fixedly seated on the selector shaft or an extension of the selector shaft and preferably fixedly seated on the selector shaft or the extension thereof so as to rotate with the selector shaft or extension.

A valve control mechanism for intake and exhaust valves of internal combustion engines is provided. The valve control mechanism has at least one piezo element, at least one valve element operated thereby, and at least one adjustment piston. The arrangement includes a sensor element that reacts to magnetic forces, and along which the object can be displaced. The sensor element is provided with at least one release element, which has two magnets that are fixed relative to one anther, are spaced from one anther, and are disposed in a vicinity adjacent to the sensor element. One of the magnets, in order to produce a unilaterally enlarged virtual air gap, is rotated by a given angle relative to the other magnet.

A damping piston is positioned at one side of the pressure chamber and is moveable relative to the pressure chamber. A moveable mass acts on the damping piston. When the damping piston is moved in a first direction by the moveable mass from a rest position into the first pressure chamber, the hydraulic medium is initially displaced from the pressure chamber into the hydraulic supply line until the hydraulic supply line is closed off by the damping piston and a hydraulic pressure is generated in the pressure chamber to create a force acting counter to the movement of the moveable mass.

A valve arrangement is so constructed that a pressure limitation is attainable with minimal parts expenditure and without additional structural volume in a cost advantageous manner. On a shift piston of a pathway valve, a valve member of a pressure valve is arranged therewith. The pressure valve is installed within the structural volume of the pathway valve. Via a slight modification of the shift piston of the pathway valve and installation of the valve member as a single additional structural part there is eliminated additional pressure valve structure and system connection thereof necessary with known valve arrangement. With that the inventive valve arrangement fulfills preconditions made as to a mass product including particularly nominal structural volume, nominal number of structural parts, nominal disturbance susceptibility and extremely cost-advantageous production manufacturing.
