A method for guiding and distributing high-energy radiation, in particular laser radiation, in the tool base body of a bending die, in particular a V-shaped die, includes a bending recess in the tool base body and a beam exit opening arranged therein for locally heating a workpiece bearing against a contact surface of the bending die by introducing high-energy radiation from a radiation source arranged outside the tool base body into the tool base body through a beam entry opening and high-energy radiation is discharged to the bending recess through the beam exit opening. At least one concentrated high-energy radiation beam is introduced into the tool base body through at least one beam entry opening and is at least partially deflected by at least one beam affecting arrangement in the tool base body, expanded and guided through the radiation exit opening onto the workpiece.

Device and method for the laser-supported bending of workpieces

The invention relates to a method for bending a flat workpiece (), comprising the discharge of high-energy radiation () in the form of at least one planar fanned beam () from a bending recess () of a die arrangement () having a bending die () onto a workpiece () bearing against a contact surface () of the bending die () for the local heating thereof before and/or during a bending process. The one or more planar fanned beams (, . . . ) are produced by a number of optionally activatable radiation sources (, . . . ) which are arranged within the die arrangement () along the bending recess () or are caused by the distribution of a concentrated radiation beam () that is introduced from a radiation source () outside the bending dies (, . . . ) via a number of beam affecting arrangements (, . . . ) within the bending dies (, . . . ) and the exiting radiation () is thereby adjusted to the bending length () of the workpiece to be bent () via the number of planar fanned beams (, . . . ).

Device and method for bending a workpiece

The invention relates to a bending die (), particularly a V-shaped die (), comprising a tool base body () with a contact surface () for contacting the workpiece () to be bent by a bending punch (), a groove-shaped bending recess () in the contact surface () and at least one beam exit opening () in the bending recess () and extending along thereof, which is configured to discharge high-energy radiation () onto a workpiece () bearing against the contact surface () in order to heat the deformation zone of the workpiece (). An arrangement of diode laser bars () is fixed in the interior of the tool base body () for producing the radiation (). Said diode laser bars () are arranged at least approximately uniformly along the longitudinal direction () of the bending recess () behind the beam exit opening () in the tool base body ().

A method and optical arithmetic apparatus for converting residue numbers into positionally notated numbers utilize linear periodic structures which can be shifted relative to one another, each linear periodic structure being allocated to a prime number module of those prime number modules which are utilized in the residue representation of a decimal number, with the duration of the period for a structure being proportional to the module allocated thereto. The structures may be structures for generating standing light waves. The shift of the phase positions of the light waves is undertaken by respective phase modulators with the waves being shifted out of an original phase position in accord with the allocated residue module or the sum of the modules. The decoded result is obtained by noting the values occurring at positions where the structures coincided before shifting by means of the phase modulators and which coincide after the shift.
