Dosing system and method for the dosing of a medium

The invention discloses an apparatus for removing samples or introducing fluids from/into system(s) having flexible walls. A sampler/fluid dispenser () is fixed on the outside with a connecting area () of its base () on a sample removal region/fluid dispensing region () of the flexible wall () and, in its interior, has a severing element (). At least the severing element () can be pushed forward in the direction of the sample removal region/fluid dispensing region () in order to remove the samples and in order to introduce fluids, in such a way that the wall () can be perforated within the sample removal region/fluid dispensing region (). The system () comprises containers, bags or tubes for filling, mixing, transporting, storage of media, such as biological liquids, sera, buffers, ultra-pure water and can be used as biological reactors or cell culture vessels in the pharmaceutical and biotechnical industry.

Apparatus for removing samples from systems having flexible walls and for introducing fluids into the same

A disposable container is provided for mixing media. The container has at least one closable opening for introducing and/or removing media and has sensor mounts at spaced apart locations on the wall of the container. Each sensor mount has a front surface facing into the container and a rear surface sealed against the wall of the container. Sensors are embedded in the respective sensor mounts at positions adjacent the front surfaces. The sensors measure at least one specified parameter of the media at spaced apart locations in the container. The seals between the rear surfaces of the sensor mounts and the wall of the container ensure sterility for the media in the container.

A method is provided for mixing media in a container. The method includes introducing a first media into the container and then introducing a second media into the container while mixing the media to form a mixture. The method continues by measuring the values of two parameters of the mixture at spaced apart locations in the container. The introduction of the second media into the container may be interrupted based on a comparison of the measured values to a preselected intended value.
