A heat exchanger may include an outer casing extending in a longitudinal direction and delimiting a volume through which a first fluid is flowable, and a tube bundle including a plurality of tube bodies arranged in the volume and through which a second fluid is flowable. In a cross section, the volume may have an inner surface area and an inner circumference and each tube body may have an outer circumference and an outer surface area. A ratio of a sum of the outer circumferences to the inner circumference may be at least 5.5, and a sum of the outer surface areas may account for 64% or less of the inner surface area. A residual cross section area of the inner surface area may be delimited between the outer casing and the plurality of tube bodies.

Heat exchanger

Disclosed is an air-conditioning device for a motor vehicle having a blower for feeding air through an air-conditioning housing, in which a cooling heat exchanger, a heating heat exchanger, and airflow control elements are arranged. The air-conditioning device and the heat exchangers have their greatest dimension in the transverse direction (y direction) of the vehicle. In order to provide a space-saving and cost-effective system, the blower is arranged laterally on the air-conditioning housing, and an air filter having approximately the same transverse dimension as the cooling heat exchanger is arranged in the air stream between the blower and cooling heat exchanger.

Air-conditioning device for a motor vehicle

An air-conditioning system is disclosed for a cab of a commercial vehicle, which has a driver's area, a front-passenger's area and a sleeping area in the cab interior. The system is constructed as simply and cost-effectively as possible and permits more economical air-conditioning of the individual areas of the cab interior. The air-conditioning system has at least two fans ( ) and a central control unit ( ) that contains at least one heater and at least one cooling heat exchanger. Air temperature is controlled individually for each area and is guided via individual air ducts ( ) into the respective areas. A first fan ( ) is assigned to the drivers and front-passenger's area, and at least one second fan ( ) is assigned to the sleeping area.

Air-conditioning system for a commercial vehicle

Disclosed is an air-conditioning system for a motor vehicle with which individual zones of the interior can be individually air-conditioned. The air-conditioning system is divided by means of at least one dividing wall into sub-regions, with the dividing wall having a dividing wall opening which can be closed off. The heating or air-conditioning system improves the safety, for example, by reducing the amount of condensation on windows, while conserving installation space. In a first region (B or B or B or B ), the partial air stream flowing therethrough can flow through a sub-region ( HL or VL or VR or HR) of heater ( ), and the partial air stream, which has already been heated in the first region (B or B or B or B ) can after passing through the dividing wall opening ( R, L), also flow through a sub-region ( FL or RL or RR or FR), located in the second region (B or B or B or B ) of the heater ( ).

Air-conditioning system for a motor vehicle

Disclosed is a motor vehicle air-conditioning system in which individual air-conditioning zones can be air-conditioned independently. The air-conditioning system is divided into four partial regions by partitions. In order to provide as small a construction space as possible as well as simple regulation, the coolant stream through the heater ( ) is regulatable, in order to bring the entire heater ( ) to a specific temperature. Thus, air flowing through the heater ( ) can be controlled to a maximum temperature dependent on the temperature of the heater ( ), corresponding to the (warmest) air temperature desired in one of the interior zones (HL, VL, VR, HR). In the other region(s) (B , B , B , B ) of the air-conditioning system ( ), the temperature of the air to be introduced into the other interior zone(s) (HL, VL, VR, HR) can be lowered by means of cold air guided via a bypass ( R, R).

A cooling apparatus is disclosed which includes a housing and a plurality of chambers which are arranged therein, sealed tightly and filled with a storage medium. The chambers have a substantially flat cross section and are arranged in at least one group. Passages extend between the chambers. The chambers of a group are combined to form a block, and at least one passage is provided between each pair of adjacent chambers. Each of the passages is connected to distribution and collection chambers formed in the housing, in the area of the distribution and collection chambers, with at least one feed port and a return port.

Cold storage unit

A device and method for controlling air conduction in a vehicle includes an air conduction element. The air conduction element is controlled as a function of the moisture in the vehicle interior, intermediate positions of the air conduction element being possible between a maximum proportion of circulating air and a maximum proportion of fresh air. In this way, the proportion of fresh air is increased only gradually when there is a high pollution impact if the interior moisture does not exceed a maximum moisture value .PHI..sub.max. Control of the moisture in the vehicle interior increases the comfort of the vehicle occupants. A circulating-air dryer makes it possible, in principle, to continue in circulating-air operation for an unlimited period.
