An access system comprises a control unit in a vehicle, and a portable electronic device comprising a battery and a switch or a button. The portable electronic device comprises a transponder unit wirelessly supplied with power by the control unit. The control unit transmits a request signal to the portable electronic device. The portable electronic device checks, upon receipt of the request signal, whether supplying power by the battery is possible, provides wireless power supply by the control unit to the transponder unit, transmits a response signal to the control unit when supplying power by the battery is not possible, and when supplying power by the battery is possible and the switch or button was actuated within a specific time period around the receipt of the request signal. The vehicle is unlocked if the portable electronic device is recognized as belonging to the vehicle based on the response signal.

The present disclosure teaches a receiving circuit for use with a vehicle and serving for receiving a signal of a transponder. The receiving circuit may include a plurality of input paths each having an antenna and a multiplexer with a plurality of switches controlled by control signals and connecting at least one of the input paths to at least one further device in the form of a discharger and/or detuner and/or amplifier.

A method and a device for an open-load diagnosis of a switching stage includes the steps of turning off the switching transistor if, after a first delay time has elapsed since an appearance of a control signal, the output voltage is less than a first reference voltage, and if, after a second delay time has elapsed, the output voltage is less than a second reference voltage, then, with the switching transistor in the on state again, comparing the output current flowing through the switching transistor with a reference current, and if the output current is less than the reference current, effecting an open-load indication. The device includes a switchable buffer amplifier; a switching transistor, second and third transistors, a reference current source, first and second comparators, and a control circuit connected to the buffer amplifier, to the second and third transistors, and to the first and second comparators.

Electrical consumers receive load current from a supply voltage via two or more power switches. A false-closure detection device includes a measuring device and a diagnostic device for the detection of faults. The measuring device is connected parallel to the power switches and the electrical consumer lying in series with the switches. A transmitter unit generates a carrier signal in the form of a periodic bipolar signal. The carrier signal has intrapulse periods between two pulses of different polarity. A transmission antenna is operated with the bipolar signal. To prevent the harmonic oscillations of the transmitted signals from having excessively great amplitudes, the intrapulse period is defined such that the amplitude of the first harmonic of the transmitted oscillation, ascertained by Fourier analysis, is greater than 90% and the amplitude of the third harmonic oscillation is less than 25%, in comparison with the amplitude of the fundamental oscillation of a rectangular oscillation without intrapulse periods.
