A computer-implemented method for estimating an influence of a magnetic resonance tomography sequence on at least one component in or on an examination tunnel of a magnetic resonance tomography system, wherein the method comprises inputting at least one gradient waveform of the magnetic resonance tomography sequence into a temperature model; calculating an increase in temperature caused by an application of the magnetic resonance tomography sequence in the at least one component using the temperature model, the temperature model configured to calculate the increase in temperature based on an estimation of eddy currents induced by the at least one gradient waveform in the at least one component; and outputting at least one of the calculated increase in temperature or a temperature achieved by the increase in temperature.

Estimating an influence of a magnetic resonance tomography sequence on at least one component in or on an examination tunnel and protection of the component

A framework for gantry alignment of a multimodality medical scanner. First image data of a non-radioactive structure is acquired by using intrinsic radiation emitted by scintillator crystals of detectors in a first gantry of the multimodality medical scanner. Second image data of the non-radioactive structure is acquired using a second gantry for another modality of the multimodality medical scanner. Image reconstruction may be performed based on the first and second image data of the non-radioactive structure to generate first and second reconstructed image volumes. A gantry alignment transformation that aligns the first and second reconstructed image volumes may then be determined.

A method for performing a magnetic resonance measurement of a patient using a magnetic resonance apparatus is provided. The magnetic resonance apparatus includes a radiofrequency antenna unit for producing an excitation pulse. A first B0 field map for a first motion state of the patient, and a second B0 field map for a second motion state of the patient are provided. A first excitation pulse for the first motion state, and a second excitation pulse for the second motion state are determined based on the first B0 field map and the second B0 field map. A magnetic resonance measurement is performed, during which the motion state of the patient is monitored. When the patient is in the first motion state, the radiofrequency antenna unit transmits the first excitation pulse. When the patient is in the second motion state, the radiofrequency antenna unit transmits the second excitation pulse.

The imaging apparatus includes an auxiliary antenna arranged and configured to receive a second receive signal containing an interference signal generated by the electronic circuit during the examination period. The present disclosure is directed to techniques for actuation of a magnetic resonance device for generating a high frequency pulse for specific saturation of nuclear spins in an examination region of an examination object. The techniques may include providing a frequency spectrum of the examination region, providing a B0 field map, establishing a first resonance frequency for a first tissue and a second resonance frequency for a second tissue taking account of the frequency spectrum, determining a saturation pulse by establishing a high frequency pulse configured for a spectrally selective excitation of the first tissue and the second tissue taking account of the first resonance frequency, the second resonance frequency and the B0 field map, and outputting the saturation pulse by means of the high frequency antenna unit.

The disclosure relates to a magnetic resonance tomography scanner and to a method for operating the magnetic resonance tomography scanner. The method includes determining a B0 field map. The method further includes determining an excitation of the nuclear spins to be achieved and a spectrally selective excitation pulse for transmission by a transmitter by way of an antenna as a function of the B0 field map. A relative position of this field of view in relation to a receiving space of the MRT scanner, in which the target object is received, is then automatically determined. An excitation angle produced in the field of view by the RF pulse is changed compared to the use of the corresponding unadjusted RF pulse.

The magnetic resonance system activation sequence includes a multichannel pulse train with a plurality of individual HF pulse trains to be emitted in a parallel manner by the magnetic resonance system by way of different independent high-frequency transmit channels. In this process, a multichannel pulse train is calculated with a predefined target magnetization using an HF pulse optimization method, with optimization taking place with respect to a setpoint deviation of an HF local exposure value from an HF global exposure value. A method for operating a magnetic resonance system and a magnetic resonance system with the control sequence determination device are also described.

Method and device for determining a magnetic resonance system activation sequence

In a method and control sequence determination device for determination of a magnetic resonance system control sequence to generate an image series of a defined image region of an examination subject, the control sequence includes a multichannel pulse train with multiple individual RF pulse trains to be emitted in parallel by the magnetic resonance system via different independent radio-frequency transmission channels. The multichannel pulse train includes an excitation pulse to excite the image region and a subsequent number of refocusing pulses in order to respectively excite an echo signal to acquire raw data for an image of the image series. At least one defined marking region in the image region is determined depending on a subject structure to be depicted in the image region, and the multichannel pulse train is determined such that a saturation is achieved at or in the marking regions before the excitation pulse.

Method for determining a magnetic resonance control sequence, and magnetic resonance system operable according to the control sequence

Methods for controlling magnetic resonance systems having a plurality of high frequency transmission channels through which HF pulse trains are emitted in parallel during operation are described. The methods involves specifying a joint reference pulse train for a plurality of the high frequency transmission channels, and determining a transmission scaling factor for each of the high frequency transmission channels in an HF pulse-optimization method by taking into consideration a specified target magnetization to calculate the HF pulse trains for the transmission channels on the basis of the reference pulse train. During calculation of the transmission scaling factors, a target function is created independently of a target magnetization difference in at least a first optimization mode of the HF pulse-optimization method. The target magnetization difference is considered in the HF pulse-optimization method by way of a boundary condition function instead. Pulse optimization devices and magnetic resonance systems are described.

Controlling magnetic resonance systems

A method for monitoring an exposure experienced by a patient during an examination with a magnetic resonance device having a transmitter device is provided. The method includes determining a coil power loss from measured amplitudes and phases of a first measuring device, and determining an overall transmitted power from voltage measurement values of the second measuring device. The method also includes determining a specific absorption rate (SAR) value describing a power entering a patient from the coil power loss and the overall transmitted power and comparing the SAR value with at least one limit value. A transmission operation of the transmitter device is terminated if the at least one limit value is exceeded.
