A vacuum pump, in particular for brake booster systems in motor vehicles, with a drivable rotor via which a blade in a housing can be set in rotation is proposed. The vacuum pump is distinguished by the fact that the rotor consists of plastic and is formed as one piece.

Vacuum pump

A shaft coupling for connecting two shaft ends to transmit torque. Each shaft end has a recess or a projection. A projection on one shaft end projects into the recess in the other shaft end and their cooperating side walls transmit torque. A centering device at one shaft end cooperates with a centering device on the other shaft end for axially aligning the shaft ends. These may be a cylindrical projection one shaft end and a corresponding recess in the other shaft end. Alternatively, the centering devices are recesses in both shaft ends and a pin that extends into both of the centering recesses. Applied elastic material on at least one of the centering device elements enables secure attachment between the shaft ends.

Shaft coupling with axial alignment

An hydraulic conveying device, in particular for conveying diesel fuel for an internal-combustion engine in motor vehicles, with a housing provided with at least one conveying chamber as well as a displacement unit rotor arranged in the conveying chamber. Rotation of the displacement unit forms pump chambers with varying volumes by means of which a fluid is conveyed from a suction connection of the conveying device to a pressure connection of the conveying device. The conveying devices includes a screen or wall with openings for retaining a quantity of the fluid to be conveyed in the conveying chamber when a supply of fluid by way of the suction connection is interrupted.

Hydraulic conveying device

A radial piston pump having a shaft which is mounted in a pump housing an eccentric in the shaft and a stationary piston ring surrounding the eccentric. The piston ring receives the pistons arranged in radial direction to the shaft and surrounding the eccentric. The piston ring is provided with bore holes that open toward the eccentric, for receiving the pistons. The bore holes are closed off at their ends facing away from the eccentric by respective closure plugs. The piston ring is surrounded by a portion of the pump housing, e.g., an annular wall part, so that a liquid filled chamber is defined at least between the closure plugs and the inner side of the portion of the pump housing.

Radial piston pump

A vacuum pump, particularly adapted for use with a power assisted brake system of a motor vehicle, includes a pump housing with a small diameter section and a larger section. A rotor in the housing with a smaller diameter coupling section and with a larger diameter pump section in the larger section of the housing. A rotor wing in the larger section of the housing is received in a slot in the rotor for being rotated by the rotor. A drive element passing along the axis of the rotor is connectable with a coupling to drive the drive element and is positioned between the two half bodies of the rotor for rotating the rotor and the wing of the rotor. The drive element has a coupling section of elastic resilient material which is received in a slot in the rotor and has wing sections above and below the plane of the coupling section which define a slot in the rotor in which the rotor wing is received, such that the drive element can absorb torque and oscillations.

Vacuum pump with resilient drive

A hydraulic gear pump for the oil lubrication system of an automobile engine is disclosed, and wherein the meshing teeth of the gears define fluid cells which are expanded in the intake portion and receive the fluid from an inlet, and then compressed in the discharge portion to expel the fluid. The inlet to the pump includes at least two parallel fluid lines which are each connected to a tank. A pressure controlled valve is connected to one or both of the fluid lines, and during the normal operating range of output pressure, the valve is controlled by the pressure in the pump discharge chamber so as to decrease the flow through the lines from a maximum flow rate to a lower flow rate as the output pressure increases. In the event the engine and oil are cold, the output pressure will increase beyond the normal operating range, since the oil consumption is small. To heat this oil, the valve also includes means for throttling a portion of the output of the pump when the output pressure reaches a predetermined relatively high relief pressure which is greater than the normal operating pressure, and this throttling serves to rapidly increase the temperature of the oil. Also, the inlet fluid lines are designed to provide a flow rate during such throttling which is at least about 30% of the maximum flow rate during normal operation, to thereby assure sufficient flow for the throttling function.

Hydraulic gear pump

A hydraulic gear pump is disclosed wherein the meshing teeth of the gears define fluid cells which are expanded in the intake portion and receive the fluid from an inlet, and then compressed in the discharge portion to expel the fluid. The contact ratio of the cooperating driving flanks of the meshing teeth is smaller than the contact ratio of the cooperating sealing flanks of the meshing teeth, which serves to minimize the power requirement of the pump. The inlet to the pump includes at least two parallel lines which are each connected to a tank, and the first line is provided with a fixed throttle and the second line is provided with a pressure control valve which is controlled by the pressure in the pump discharge line.
