A multi-stage integrally geared compressor includes a first process stage, a second process stage and a gearbox for coupling the two process stages to each other at different rotational speeds. The gearbox further couples a compressor drive shaft to the two process stages at a further rotational speed, which is different from the rotational speeds of the process stages.

A casing is provided having a longitudinal axis of a turbomachine, the axis extending along a rotor. The casing includes at least one jacket part extending along the longitudinal axis and at least one end-face cover. The cover is surrounded by the jacket part at least with a part of the axial extension of the cover. In order to reduce the need for radial clearance, without compromising the availability or safety of the operation of the machine, the cover has radial clearance with respect to the jacket part and at least two separate guide elements of the cover are provided on the jacket part in two different circumferential positions with respect to the longitudinal axis. The respective guide elements are designed such that they block a respective movement of the cover in the circumferential direction at least unidirectionally.

A pressure vessel including a lid, wherein the lid is fixed to a corresponding lid receptacle, wherein the lid has a first bearing surface that extends in the circumferential direction and interacts in a sealing manner with a second bearing surface on the pressure vessel, wherein fixing elements are provided for fixing the lid to the pressure vessel. The fixing elements are wedge-shaped, rest on an abutment surface of the pressure vessel and on a contact surface of the lid such that, when the fixing element is moved in a direction that causes a wider section of the wedge shape to be located between the abutment surface and the contact surface, the bearing surfaces are brought closer together or braced against each other.
