A hysteroscope for carrying out endoscopic operations in the uterus by way of an auxiliary instrument, consists of an inner shank and an outer shank surrounding the inner shank whilst forming a longitudinal channel, of a first fitting for supplying rinsing fluid to be supplied through the inner shank into the uterus and of a second fitting for removing rinsing fluid from the uterus via the longitudinal channel. Furthermore there are provided a third fitting on which the auxiliary instrument is introducable into the hysteroscope and is further distally movable through a working channel, and deflection means with which the distal end region of the auxiliary instrument is elastically laterally deflectable. In the distal end region of the hysteroscope there is provided a first ramp on which, sliding up, the distal end of the auxiliary instrument moved distally through the hysteroscope is deflectable, in order with a further distal movement of the auxiliary instrument to bring its distal end region into a first position. With the help of a pivotable deflection element the distal end region of the auxiliary instrument is deflected into a second position beyond the first position.

Hysteroscope

The instrument has a working insert which may be inserted into a coupling housing sitting on the proximal side on an instrument shank and is releasably connectable to said housing and which includes a seal, carried by a carrier, which has at least one elastic socket for the sealed leading-through of auxiliary instruments and which seals a first axial passage formed in the carrier with respect to the coupling housing. The seal consists of a base body which is located in a holder and which with each socket forms a one-piece component of elastic material, and the holder includes an arrangement for the releasable connection to the carrier.

Medical instrument, in particular a rectoscope

A medical instrument having an inner part which is releasably fastened in the instrument on a proximal end and at the distal end carries a tool which can be actuated by way of an actuation element which is adjustable axially and relative to the inner part and the tool. The actuation element is releasably lockable in a proximal-side, axially adjustable receiver which drives the actuation element at the same time.

Medical instrument

The invention relates to a suction/rinsing instrument comprising a suction channel for removing fluid and a rinsing channel for supplying rinsing fluid. The suction channel is provided for receiving an auxiliary instrument. Via a grip part of the instrument, the auxiliary instrument, for example a forceps, may be controlled. The auxiliary instrument is fixed on the suction/rinsing instrument by way of a receiver. The receiver can be traversed in the axial direction of the shank, the traversing is effected via operating means provided on or near the grip part, so that the operator, without having to let go of the grip part, may selectively, with only one hand, push forward the auxiliary instrument an thus operate or also retract the auxiliary instrument and clear the suction/rinsing channel.

Suction and rinsing instrument

Surgical forceps, for example for endoscopic use, having distal mouth parts which are actuated by means of proximal grip sections via a rod and are mounted displaceably in the tubular forceps housing. An overload safety device, which prevents further actuation on exceeding a certain actuation force by radially deflecting the rod or a section of it against spring action and positively engaging it with a fixed part of the forceps housing, is provided to protect the sensitive mouth parts.

Surgical forceps

A coagulation, washing and suction instrument has a shaft having a washing and a suction canal, by way of which a washing fluid can be supplied to, or removed from, respectively, a bodily cavity. The instrument consists of three detachably connected parts, namely a shaft having a washing and a suction canal; a handle which can be pushed onto, and secured to, the proximal end of the shaft, the handle being made of an insulating material and having a high frequency connector for supplying a coagulation electrode on the distal end of the shaft, and finger pressure releasable connection canals for the supply to, and the removal from, the canals of the shafts, of the washing fluid; and a part for the introduction of auxiliary instruments, which can be coupled proximally to the shaft and to the handle and which can be shut off.
