The invention refers to a prechamber spark plug comprising an ignition electrode with several electrode arms. The ignition electrode is made of a cross-shaped blank that is cut out of sheet metal and then the electrode arms are set upright by bending. The sheet metal is made of iridium or an iridium-based alloy by rolling in a rolling direction and the ignition electrode blank is cut out in such a way that an angle of 50&#xb0; or less is present between each of the electrode arms and the rolling direction (W).

Prechamber spark plug

The invention relates to a pre-chamber spark plug with a housing which, at its forward end, comprises a pre-chamber with a plurality of openings, an insulator arranged in the housing, a center electrode which is surrounded by the insulator and supports an ignition electrode arranged in the pre-chamber which comprises a plurality of electrode arms, wherein the electrode arms each comprise a rear section which extends in a transverse direction in relation to the longitudinal direction of the center electrode and a forward section which extends along a pre-chamber wall and forms a spark gap between itself and the pre-chamber wall. It is provided according to the invention that the electrode arms are embedded in the center electrode and project from a lateral surface of the center electrode. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method according to the invention.

Pre-chamber spark plug

An ignition device for the ignition of a gas mixture in a main combustion chamber (), in particular of an internal combustion engine, is proposed, wherein the absorber body () is heated by means of a laser (). A prechamber () is located upstream of the absorber body () on the combustion chamber inner side () in order to improve the ignition behavior.

Laser ignition for gas mixtures

The invention relates to a spark plug for igniting a combustible gas mixture in an internal combustion engine, comprising an ignition electrode (), an electrical supply line (), to which the ignition electrode () is connected, an insulator body (), through which the supply line () is passed, a housing head (), which rests in sealing fashion on the insulator body () and bears an outer thread () for the purpose of screwing it into an internal combustion engine, a tube housing (), which is fixed on the housing head (), surrounds the insulator body () and has a hexagon head (). The invention provides that the tube housing () surrounds an insulator body holder (), which is welded to the housing head () and presses the insulator body () with a prestress against the housing head ().

Spark plug with increased pressure resistance

A method of and installation for incineration of solid and, if desired, liquid waste. The installation comprises a pyrolysis chamber and connected directly therebelow a combustion chamber. Exhaust gas ducts which cover the outer walls of the pyrolysis chamber either partly or completely in such a way that the covered wall surfaces of the pyrolysis chamber serve as the inner walls of the exhaust gas ducts. One or more swivelling gate elements which when moved create passages of different cross-sections through which solid and gaseous products from the pyrolysis process are discharged from the pyrolysis chamber into the combustion chamber. Combustion air supply inlets are arranged in flow direction behind the gate elements. The exhaust gas ducts are vertically subdivided on the outside walls of the pyrolysis chamber so that each of the individual partial ducts is provided with gas outlets which penetrate the outside walls of the pyrolysis chamber where they are covered by the exhaust gas ducts, and enter into the pyrolysis chamber whereby every part of the exhaust gas ducts serves to supply exhaust gas heat directly to the waste fill in the pyrolysis chamber.

Method of and apparatus for waste incineration

Sluice gate members mounted for swinging movement about a shaft offset from the center of a furnace and arranged to be moved both gradually and discontinuously are interposed between an upper pyrolysis and precombustion chamber and a lower afterburning chamber. The movement of these sluice gate members causes particles of the fire bed supported on them to drop down into the afterburning chamber, largely in the form of embers, at about the same rate as additional waste material is added to the fire bed, so as to maintain a fire bed of approximately constant size. The sluice gate members are hollow and secondary air is blown into them near the shafts on which they are mounted and flows out through holes on their bottom surfaces and in their facing tip edges and then proceeds downward to contribute to the afterburning process.

Incinerator

Ducts for carrying off hot gas given off from the combustion chamber of an incinerator are built into the outer walls of a pyrolysis chamber located above the combustion chamber. The pyrolysis chamber has cross-sectional dimensions that are small enough to assure that heat from the gas ducts in walls completely penetrate the fill of waste in the pyrolysis chamber. Sluice gates are provided between the pyrolysis chamber and the combustion chamber on which the fill of the pyrolysis chamber rests when the gates are quiescent. The gates are moved to allow fragments of the pyrolysis products to drop into the combustion chamber or to turn over material resting on the gates.
