A hanging scale sensor apparatus and hanging scale are disclosed. The hanging scale sensor apparatus includes an adapter beam connected to one end of a bottom face of a weighing sensor with a support base is connected to the other end of the bottom face of the weighing sensor. The adapter beam and a support base are positioned directly below the weighing sensor; and a scale pan suspension structure is connected to the adapter beam for positioning the hanging scale sensor apparatus.

To adapt a housing () to an uneven standing surface, an adjustment device () has a foot piece () with an internal thread () that defines a displacement axis (). The foot piece is located in a recess () of the housing that is accessed from a surface of the housing that faces towards the standing surface. A cross-sectional profile of the foot piece perpendicular to the displacement axis coacts with the recess to prevent rotation of the foot piece about the displacement axis. A spindle () with an external thread () that cooperates with the internal thread of the foot piece allows axial movement of the spindle along the displacement axis. A levelling wheel (), connected to the spindle by a rotation-blocking connection allows the spindle to be rotated relative to the foot piece.

A weighing scale () is designed for use in a first and a second configuration. In the first configuration, a base unit () has a main plane disposed horizontally with a load receiver () extending parallel thereto. A weighing cell () is mounted under the load receiver in the base unit and measures a weighing force acting perpendicular to the main plane. In the second configuration, the main plane is disposed vertically, with the load receiver hanging below the base unit as a suspended weighing pan, with the weighing cell mounted in the base unit to measure a vertical weighting force that is parallel to the main plane of the base unit.

An arrangement of connector ports for an electronic device, specifically for a weighing platform unit (), includes a plurality of connector sockets () which are installed in one or more walls of a chassis () thereof. The one or more walls that carry the connector sockets are interior partitioning walls that define a connector port compartment () inside the chassis. Furthermore, at least one wall section of the connector port compartment is an exterior wall section of the chassis and contains a passage opening (). Electrical cables () that are terminated by plugs matching the connector sockets can be introduced into the connector port compartment through this passage opening.

A modular support column allows electrical signal- and power-transmitting lines between a data-processing device and an associated weighing device to be enclosed. The modular support column includes a foot module (), at least a primary pole module (), at least one adapter module (), mechanical connector elements () and fasteners (). The modular support column, when assembled, has a central axis (a) defining an axial direction. A first axial end () of the primary pole module is connected to the foot module which, in turn, is to a chassis base () of a weighing scale (). A second axial end () is connected to the at least one adapter module. The mechanical connector elements and fasteners are also enclosed. Extension pole modules () and adapter modules () can extend the modular support column.
