A method for performing process instance migration between a source workflow environment and a target workflow environment is provided. The method includes a server computing system, exporting a source workflow environment to a target workflow environment. The method further includes the server computing system, migrating process instances from the source workflow environment to the target workflow environment. The method further includes, if a jump function of the target workflow environment is restricted to an activity sequence, a target computing system of the target workflow environment, adjusting the exported process models. The method further includes the target computing system, initializing another process instance, from the exported process models in the target workflow environment.

In-flight process instance migration between business process execution language (BPEL) suites

A method, system, and computer program product for controlling access to and manipulation of a data object by different data object users. An example method includes determining a current user role of a current user requesting interaction with the data object. The method also includes determining a current lifecycle state of the data object. The method further includes restricting, by a computer processor, interaction with the data object by the current user based on at least the current user role of the current user and the current lifecycle state of the data object.

Controlling access to and manipulation of a data object by different data object users

The current invention relates to a technology for processing of compensation scopes comprised within atomic scopes of a process model by a Workflow Management System or a computer system with comparable functionality (WFMS). The method comprises a step of checking whether the atomic scope of the process instance of that process model has been aborted abnormally. If this is the case, in a further step it is analyzed if in the process model the compensation scope has been associated with a specific atomic scope behavior specification, defining a specific abort handling for the compensation scope in the particular case that the compensation scope is comprised within an atomic scope and the atomic scope has been aborted. In a final step the compensation scope is processed according to the specific atomic scope behavior specification.

Processing of compensation scopes in workflow management systems

A reporter facility for reporting data from a sysplex with a plurality of operating system images. The reporter facility comprises one or more data sets in the operating system images containing the reportable data. A first data server is provided in a first one of the operating system images and one or more second data servers are provided in the operating system images with the data sets containing reportable data. The second data servers on receipt of a request issued by the first data server collect the reportable data from the data sets and pass it through the connections to the first data server, which then passes it to the reporter facility. In one embodiment of the invention the data sets include data relating to the use and load of resources within the sysplex.
