The invention relates to a float () for a fill level sensor, comprised of a fuel-resistant plastic (), an expanding means () and/or filler (), whereby the expanding means consists of gas-filled plastic balls () that are provided in the form of microspheres (), and the filler consists of micro-hollow balls (). The microspheres () and the micro-hollow balls () are surrounded by fuel-resistant plastic ().

Float for a fill level sensor

A plastic fuel tank is formed by welding together an upper plastic shell () having an upper closing wall () and a lower plastic shell () forming a bottom (). The two plastic shells () are produced by the injection molding method. In order to adhere to an exact distance between the upper closing wall () and the bottom (), spacers () coming into abutment during the welding operation are provided in the fuel tank.

A device for measuring a fill level of liquid in a container includes a measuring tube arranged inside the container and an ultrasonic sensor arranged outside the container such that a portion of the wall of the container is arranged between the measuring tube and the ultrasonic sensor. A fuel tank for a motor vehicle comprising a wall composed of two shells arranged one above the other. The outer shell of the wall preferably has an inlet orifice and an outlet orifice. A filter element is arranged in front of the outlet orifice. Scavenging air from the inlet orifice thereby passes first into a gap between the shells and subsequently to a filter element. As a result, fuel vapors can no longer diffuse through the wall and pollute the environment.

In an extraction method for a casting mold with a plurality of mold parts which can be displaced by electric motors, the electric motors are activated as a function of values deposited in a memory. The values represent required values for the respective positions of the mold parts. An evaluation unit compares the echo times and determines the fill level of the liquid from the ratio of echo times and from the known distance to the measuring reflector.

Arranged in a fuel tank of a motor vehicle are guide elements and guide plates which deflect a flow of the fuel toward a wall of the fuel tank at a flat angle. Splashing noises of the fuel are thereby markedly reduced. The guide plates form a channel with a calming region, in which the flow of the fuel is throttled.

In a method of producing a fuel tank from plastic, a heating element is located between two shell parts to be welded to one another. When the shell parts are pressed together, the heating element melts into the plastic and produces a weld that provides a fuel-resistant seal. A plastic tank comprises a line which is connected at least in certain sections to its wall and is formed in one piece with the plastic tank. For its production, the plastic tank is injection-moulded between a hollow mould and an inner mould inserted into the latter, the mould having a recess, in which a sprue body is formed as the starting material for the line. Before this sprue body can solidify completely, material is blown out from it by means of the internal gas pressure or pressure blowing technique via channels provided in the mould, so that the required line is created there. The lines may be arranged on the outside and/or inside and parallel and/or at an angle to the tank walls.

Device for supplying an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle with fuel

Lines to be mounted on a fuel tank are prestressed against an inside of the fuel tank by means of spring elements. The mounting of the lines thereby becomes very simple, particularly in the case of fuel tanks manufactured by the blowing method. Furthermore, fuel vapors are reliably prevented from escaping from the fuel tank.
