In a method or system for trapping print data with a plurality of respective objects, the objects being individually transferred into a bit map pixel file, at least one overfill is determined for the respective object relative to color regions bordering the respective object in the pixel file according to predetermined trapping rules. The object and the at least one overfill are inserted into the pixel file, wherein the object and the overfill are rastered in the pixel file upon insertion.

In a method for printing a recording medium, an object type of image elements to be printed is determined for a corresponding print page using digital data. In generation of a bitmap for generation of a latent image for a first print process or a second print process, dependent on the object type image points are adapted in a direction of at least one main axis corresponding to an expected shrinkage. The recording medium is printed with a first toner image in a first print process. The first toner image is fixed on the recording medium in the fixing device where the recording medium shrinks along said at least one main axis. In the second print process, a second toner image is applied on the same recording medium in the direction of the main axis in a form compressed relative to that of the first print process.

In a method and system for printing of sensitive data, encrypted sensitive data to be printed is transferred to a printing device having a printing unit. This sensitive data to be printed is decrypted to create decrypted sensitive data. The decrypted sensitive data is converted into control signals for activation of the printing unit. The decrypted sensitive data is stored in a non-volatile memory such that the decrypted sensitive data are distributed in a plurality of memory segments of the non-volatile memory where a relationship of the memory segments is stored as relationship data independently of the stored decrypted sensitive data. The decrypted sensitive data is printed with the printing unit on a recording medium.
