A fuel injection valve is characterized in that a multi-fan stream nozzle is shaped, downstream from a fixed valve seat that is provided on the inner wall of a valve sleeve, directly into the valve sleeve itself. The multi-fan stream nozzle is integrated directly in the region of a bulge formed at the downstream end of the valve sleeve. The multi-fan stream nozzle, serving as an atomization device, possesses a plurality of slit-shaped spray openings, so that from the sheets of liquid emerging from the spray openings, sheet packets are formed in which individual sheets of liquid extend divergently from one another. Introduction of the spray openings into the deep-drawn valve sleeve is effected using ultrashort-pulse laser technology. The fuel injection valve is suitable in particular for use in fuel injection systems of mixture-compressing spark-ignited internal combustion engines.

A method for adjusting the flow quantity in a fuel injector, that has an excitable actuation element, a valve-closure member that can be moved axially along a valve longitudinal axis, the valve-closure member, for the purpose of opening and closing the valve, cooperating with a fixed valve seat that is configured on a valve seat element, and a multilayer, or multiple-disk, perforated disk that is arranged downstream of the valve seat, is characterized by the fact that, in a first method step, the discharged fuel quantity of the opened fuel injector is measured and, in a second method step, a lower base layer of the perforated disk is deformed in the direction of the valve seat into a vacant flow-cross-section of the layer situated on top of it and, as a result, the vacant flow-cross-section within the perforated disk is changed until the actual quantity discharged corresponds to the predetermined setpoint quantity.

Method for adjusting the amount of flow at a fuel injection valve

A valve includes an orifice disk element having at least two sheet metal layers lying in sandwich fashion against one another. The orifice disk element includes at least a base region with the opening geometry necessary for spray discharge of the medium, and a seat region with a valve seat surface, so that the valve seat and orifice disk function are combined in one metal laminate element. The valve is suitable in particular for use in fuel injection systems of mixture-compressing, spark-ignited internal combustion engines.
