A fluid delivery system is disclosed which comprises at least one supply station for supplying at least one fluid, a pressurizing unit for pressurizing said at least one fluid, an inlet fluid circuit in fluid communication with said at least one supply station and with a pump module of said pressurizing unit and an outlet fluid circuit in fluid communication with said pump module for discharging the fluid from the chamber. The chamber is provided with a piston reciprocating therein, thereby defining first and second variable-volume sub-chambers. The fluid delivery system further comprises a recirculation fluid circuit fluidically connecting said first and second variable-volume sub-chambers, and an actuator associated to said recirculation fluid circuit for managing the passage of said at least one fluid between said first and second variable-volume sub-chambers in both directions. A method of operating the fluid delivery system is also disclosed.

Fluid delivery system

A fluid delivery system is disclosed which comprises at least one first supply station for supplying a first fluid and at least one second supply station for supplying a second fluid different from the first fluid. The fluid delivery system further comprises a pressurizing unit for pressurizing the first and second fluids, said pressurizing unit comprising first and second pump modules, and each pump module comprising a chamber and a piston provided with a plunger to define first and second variable-volume sub-chambers. The fluid delivery system further comprises first and second inlet fluid circuits, first and second outlet fluid circuits, and a first recirculation fluid pathway fluidically connecting the first and second variable-volume sub-chambers of a pump module. Moreover, a first actuator is associated to said first recirculation fluid pathway for managing the fluid passage in both directions between said first and second variable-volume sub-chambers of said pump module. Methods of operating the fluid delivery system are disclosed too.

Multi-fluid delivery system

A patient interface includes a hollow base with an air inlet configured to be connected to an air delivery tube and receive the pressurized flow of respiratory gas. The hollow base further includes a pair of nozzles extending from the hollow base. Each nozzle is configured to receive the pressurized flow of respiratory gas from a respective one of the pair of air outlets. A continuous flexible adhesive strip of material configured to adhere to a side of the patient's nose and support the hollow base and the pair of nozzles on the patient's face to form a sealed airpath from the hollow base to the patient's nasal airways. The hollow base comprises a first portion from which the pair of nozzles extend and a second portion that is attachable to the air delivery tube. The second portion is more rigid than the first portion.

Patient interface systems

A patient interface assembly includes a flexible cushion configured to sealingly engage the patient's nares and a frame with a pair of flexible extending members that extend laterally from opposite sides of the frame. The frame and the flexible cushion together form a chamber. The patient interface assembly also includes a positioning and stabilising structure configured to maintain the flexible cushion in engagement with the patient's nares. The positioning and stabilizing structure has a pair of headgear straps. Each headgear strap is connected to a respective one of the flexible extending members. The flexible extending members do not form an airflow path for the breathable gas. The headgear straps have a multi-layered structure, at least one layer being made of fabric and at least one layer being made of plastic. In addition, the at least one plastic layer is a rigidizer that adds rigidity to the respective headgear strap.

Unobtrusive interface system

A device () provides respiratory treatment for SDB (including mild OSA) and other respiratory conditions. A flow generator warms and humidifies gas at controlled flow levels. For example, the device () delivers breathable gas to the upper airway at flow rates of about 10-35 Liters/minute. Levels of flow rate, temperature and/or humidification of the device may be automatically adjusted in response to the detection of SDB events. The device may also automatically deliver adjustments of any of the levels in accordance with detected phases of respiratory cycles. In some embodiments, the device automatically delivers distinct levels to either of the nares based on independent control of flow to each nare. A warm-up procedure controls temperature and humidity at a desired target during a ramp-up of flow in the set therapy level. A cool-down procedure controls temperature above the dewpoint to avoid condensation internal to the device and patient interface.

Treatment of respiratory conditions

A patient interface includes a hollow base with an air inlet configured to receive the pressurized flow of respiratory gas in a first direction. The hollow base further includes a pair of air outlets configured to discharge the pressurized flow of respiratory gas in a second direction that is substantially parallel to the first direction. The patient interface also includes a pair of nasal posts. Each nasal post is removably connected to a respective air outlet of the hollow base and is configured to sealingly engage one of the patient's nostrils. In addition, the patient interface includes an adhesive support configured to support the hollow base and nasal posts on the patient's face. The adhesive support is configured to adhere to the patient's nose. An end of each nasal post comprises a ring configured to interlock with the respective air outlet to secure the nasal post with the air outlet.

An apparatus for supplying a breathing gas at a pressure level that at least in some phases is above ambient pressure includes a blower device including an impeller and a housing device to receive the impeller. A suspension device is structured to support the blower device. The suspension device includes a variable suspension characteristic.

A patient interface is configured to deliver a flow of pressurized breathable gas to a patient's airways. The patient interface includes a central portion with an opening configured to deliver the pressurized breathable gas to the patient's nares. A first stabilizing portion extends from the central portion and is structured to engage an outer side of a respective one of the patient's nostrils. A second stabilizing portion is opposite the first stabilizing portion and extends from the central portion. In addition, the second stabilizing surface is structured to engage an outer side of a respective one of the patient's nostrils. The central portion, the first stabilizing portion and the second stabilizing portion cooperate to form a U-shape configured to cradle the patient's nose so that the tip of the patient's nose remains exposed when the patient interface is mounted on the patient's face.

A breathing mask arrangement includes an arch body, a sealing lip means for bearing against the surface of the face of a mask user, a respiratory gas conduit means for feeding respiratory gas to a mask internal space which is defined by the arch body and which is in communication with the nose and/or mouth opening of the user of the mask, and an application structure for application of the sealing lip means jointly with the arch body, wherein the application structure has a carrier portion on which a respiratory gas conduit member is releasably coupled.

Breathing mask arrangement as well as an application device and a forehead support device for same

A patient interface system for delivering a flow of breathable gas to a patient includes a patient interface structure configured to sealingly engage the face of the patient and a retaining element configured for application to the patient. The retaining element is configured to support the patient interface structure in sealing engagement with the face of the patient. The retaining element includes an adhesive and/or at least one strap. In addition, the patient interface structure is configured to be released from and re-engaged with the retaining element for re-positioning of the patient interface structure relative to the patient's face in a plurality of positions while the retaining element remains supported by the patient.
