A spinning device comprising a spinning box housing; a spinning rotor having a spinning cup on a rotor shaft; a cover element; a traveling belt acting tangentially on the rotor shaft; a rotor brake; a pivotable expander roller moveable within a maximum pivot angle via a pressure lever system connected to the brake gear of the rotor brake between an operative position when the spinning box is closed in an inoperative position wherein the expander roller is automatically lifted off the tangential belt and the rotor brake is applied to the rotor shaft when the spinning box is opened; a brake and locking lever having a locking recess in contact with an arresting roller arranged on the cover element; and an arrangement in the pressure lever system for absorbing shock-like forces acting on the expander roller and for preventing the forces from being transmitted to the brake and locking lever.

Spinning rotor for open-end spinning machine and method for producing the spinning rotor

A method for producing a spinning box frame for an open-end spinning machine wherein lateral elements (2, 3) of a spinning box frame (1) are connected with interposed bracing elements (4, 5, 6) by means of a welding process which substantially prevents the occurrence of heat distortion tensions. The bracing elements (4, 5, 6) are joined by means of a laser welding process, preferably with a CO.sub.2 laser, squarely on the interior wall (20) of the lateral elements (2, 3). The components (2 to 6) of the spinning box frame (1) are fixed in place in a welding device (26), which permits the exact positioning of the individual components during the laser welding process.

Method for producing spinning box frames for open-end spinning devices

An open-end spinning apparatus (1) has a spinning rotor (4) rotating in a vacuum-applied rotor housing (2) closed by a conduit plate (37) with a sliver opening device (51) delivering individualized spinning fibers into the rotor housing through a fiber guide conduit device (14) connecting the sliver opening device (51) to the conduit plate (37). The fiber guide conduit device (14) is replaceably supported in a connection bore (31) of the sliver opening housing (17). The fiber guide conduit device (14) is a cast part comprising a fiber guide conduit body (43) with a position fixing device (34) to assure a given mounting position with respect to the opening housing, a cylindrical foot having a groove (36) receiving an O-ring (35) for sealing with respect to the opening housing, and a contact shoulder (41) to support a hose nozzle (38) for sealing with respect to the conduit plate.

Fiber guide device for connecting a sliver opening device with a rotor

A sliver opening device for an open-end spinning unit (1) with an opening cylinder (21) which rotates in an opening-cylinder housing (17) and comprises a base (29) arranged on a bearing shaft (26) with a replaceable annulus (30) of card-clothing fitted onto the base (29). The annulus (30) is held between an abutment flange (31) of the base (29) and a cover disk (33) of an enlarged diameter. The housing (17) and the cover disk (33) have mating stepped regions (45) at their outer circumferences to enclose and generally seal the housing. A visor-like shield (50) is arranged at a distance in front of the cover disk (33) to protect the cover disk from being touched inadvertently.
