The present disclosure relates to a separator plate for an electrochemical system, wherein the separator plate has, at least in some regions, periodic surface structures with a mean spatial period of less than 10 μm. The disclosure additionally relates to a method for producing a separator plate for an electrochemical system, comprising the steps: providing a separator plate; irradiating the separator plate by means of a pulsed laser, wherein a pulse duration of the laser pulses is less than 1 ns; and creating periodic surface structures on the separator plate by way of the laser radiation.

A housing cover and a housing are disclosed, which may be used in automotive vehicle construction. There, they serve for example for the purpose of offering protection to a sensitive component or to a group of components, for example a traction battery in the electric car, and, conversely, of protecting the environment from the component or the group of components or for example from electromagnetic radiation emanating from the component.

The present invention relates to a contact plate for fuel cells with a coherent active area () on at least one side of the contact plate, wherein the active area () consists of a contact surface () which over the whole surface comprises a coating () of an electrically conductive, corrosion-resistant material, and of recesses () so that the recesses () form a channel structure, wherein the coating () furthermore at least in the bottom regions () of the recesses () is omitted. The invention further relates to a corresponding fuel cell or to a fuel cell stack with at least one such contact plate as well as to various methods for manufacturing such contact plates which may serve as bipolar plates as well as monopolar plates or end plates. With the contact plate according to the invention, one achieves an optimally reduced contact resistance with a minimal material expense for the coating ().

A liquid separator for separating liquids from gases, having a pressure chamber and a suction chamber which are disposed in the gasflow in front of or behind a separation element is provided. The separator also may have a first siphon disposed in the suction chamber for drainage of the separated liquid, and a second siphon being disposed in the suction chamber, the barrier pressure of which is higher than the barrier pressure of the first siphon.

Liquid separator with bypass

The present invention relates to a fluid separation device () for separating fluid, oil and oil spray from a gas. This fluid separation device () comprises a base carrier () in which fluid separator elements () in the form of flow-through tubes with worm-like segments () arranged therein, are integrated. The worm-like segments () at the same time form spiral flow paths () for the gas. They have a maximal length of half a pitch of the worm-like segment () so that the base carrier () together with the associated fluid separator elements () may be formed as one piece. Several base carriers may be arranged one after the other in a manner such that individual fluid separator elements of various base carriers form a common flow path for the gas.

Fluid separation device

The present invention relates to a cylinder head cover for covering a cylinder head of a combustion engine. Such cylinder head covers often comprise an oil separator for separating oil and/or oil spray from the blow-by gas of combustion engines. With the present invention the oil separator is formed as a flow-through tube () through which the gas with the oil and/or oil spray to be separated flows. The flow-through tube () with its longitudinal axis () in the flow-through direction lies essentially in the plane of extension of the cylinder head cover (). A worm-like segment is arranged in the flow-through tube (), and its thread surfaces () form a spiral flow path (). At the same time the cross section of the flow path lies between 1 mm2 and 800 mm2.

An oil mist separator has a pressure regulator valve which is located in the blow-by line downstream of the oil mist separator element in the flow direction of the gas. The pressure regulator valve has a bias so that it opens above a specified pressure difference between the blow-by line and a neighboring chamber. Located around the oil mist separator element is a bypass line which has a bypass valve. The bypass valve has a bias that causes the bypass valve to close below a specified pressure difference between the suction side and the pressure side of the oil mist separation element. The pressure regulator valve and the bypass valve are connected with each other so that the pressure regulator valve, as it closes, increases the bias of the bypass valve.

A separator for separating liquid components, in particular oil components, from a gas flow is disclosed including a cyclone and a tank. The liquid separator has a cyclonewith a separating chamberincluding gas supplyand gas dischargeand a tankwhich is connected to the cyclonevia a connection opening. The interior of the tankis filled at least partially with a porous open-pore materialin order to interrupt the flow, dampen the flow, dampen the oscillations and/or discharge the liquid.

The present invention relates to bipolar plate () as well as to a fuel cell assembly (). The bipolar plate comprises two outer surfaces () which are electrically connected to one another, for the electrical contacting, as well as the discharge and supply of gases and/or fluids to the surfaces of the fuel cells which are adjacent to the outer surfaces. The bipolar plate comprises a frame () open in the central region as well as an inner part () arranged in the central reign, wherein the frame and the inner part are elastically connected to one another.

A heat shield suitable for motor vehicles and a method for manufacturing the heat shield is provided. The heat shield is intended to protect temperature-sensitive assemblies, components and connection lines from the direct impact of heat radiation and, possibly, acts as insulation. Moreover, the heat shield may also provide advantageous soundproofing properties. The heat shield is comprised of first and second plates that are at least partially deformable and an insulating material positioned between said plates. Preferably, at least a portion of said insulating material is in the form of compacted powder or flakes.

The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a heat shield and to a heat shield manufactured with this method. Heat shields of this type are particularly used in the field of the automobile industry. According to the method according to the invention, an insulating material, performed in a suitable contour and consisting of graphite, for example vermiculite, without binding agent, is inserted as an insulating plate (,) between two flat materials (,), consisting of sheet metal, for example. The flat materials (,) are then connected to one another at their edges in a positive or non-positive manner. The insulating material is here compressed, before or after being deposited on the flat material, to form a coherent insulating plate.
