A supporting disk for a supporting disk bearing arrangement for open-end spinning rotors is provided with a disk-shaped basic body as well as an outer ring anchored to it. The circumference of the outer ring is constructed as a running surface for a shaft of an open-end spinning rotor. The outer ring and the basic body are made of plastic material. The outer circumference of the basic body and the inner circumference of the ring are provided with a surrounding undercut-type profiling respectively which engage in a form-locking manner and which are designed as a projection on the ring and as a recess on the basic body. The non-cut profiling is achieved by manufacturing the outer ring in a first tool and subsequently placing the ring in a second tool. The basic body is injection-molded to the outer ring on this second tool.

In the case of a tangential-belt drive for an open-end spinning machine, having a tangential belt driving the spinning rotors of several spinning units arranged behind one another, it is provided that the spinning units each comprise a pressure roller loading the tangential belt and a rotor brake which can be jointly actuated by means of a common actuating mechanism. In addition, an actuating possibility is provided by means of which the pressure roller, for increasing the pressure force, can be increasingly pressed against the tangential belt during the run-up.

In the case of a brake for an open-end spinning rotor which, by a shaft, is disposed in a wedge-shaped gap of at least one pair of supporting disks, two mirror-symmetrically arranged tong arms are provided which can each be swivelled around an axle extending in parallel to the shaft. The double-armed tong arms, at one arm, are equipped with brake linings which can be applied to the shaft. The arms facing away from the shaft are spread apart by a common actuating element. The actuating element can be moved freely in moving direction of the arms.
