A terminal, isolating or connecting strip for telecommunications and data technology, having contact elements and having a mounting apparatus. A terminal, isolating and connecting strip of the generic type is provided, by means of which very different circuit, protection and measurement tasks in telecommunications and data technology are ensured in a very small space, with an increased wiring density, reliably and with a high level of operator convenience and clarity, it being necessary to ensure reliable separation between the functional/work areas of network operators and subscribers, is achieved in that insulation-piercing terminal contact elements 7,8 are introduced into the two insulating bodies 3,4 which are arranged at an angle with respect to one another, which insulation-piercing terminal contact elements 7,8 are formed continuously over two planes and form two rows of terminal strips 1,2 which are at an angle with respect to one another, the lower insulating body 4 having latching elements 5,6 for latching onto a profile or the mounting bracket 9 in two latching positions.

Terminal strip, isolating strip or connecting strip

A connection element having electric insulation-piercing terminal contact elements in a chamber of a receptacle part intended for the connection of electric conductors without stripping them. A sliding part is provided enclosing a part of the insulation-piercing terminal contact elements arranged in the chamber. The connection element permits easy and reliable connection of electrical insulated conductors without a special connecting tool and at the same time ensures as high a current-carrying capacity of the conductor as possible. A locating opening for the conductors is made in a sliding part 1 in an inclined position relative to the longitudinal axis of the sliding part, which longitudinal axis is at the same time the longitudinal axis of the chamber. The conductors are inserted into the insulation-piercing terminal connecting contacts, set at an angle to the wall of the chamber, and make electrical contact with the insulation-piercing terminal connection contacts.

A termination device for telecommunication and data transmission applications, comprising a carrier rail, a base element with a receiving opening and functional modules. Various termination tasks can be solved by the base element being latched or onto or held by the carrier rail. Receiving portions for a termination element for incoming cables and for a termination element for outgoing cables are provided in the base element. A functional module is disposed between the two termination elements.

Termination device for telecommunication and data transmission

A terminal block for high transmission rates in the telecommunication and data technique, comprising a plastic body with chambers disposed in at least one row for insulation displacement contact elements and slots for shield plates disposed in the transverse walls between said chambers and extending with parallel axes thereto. The shield plates of at least one chamber are connected by narrow webs inserted in grooves in the bottom of plastic body.

Terminal block for high transmission rates

An obliquely disposed insulation displacement contact for the communication and data transfer. Wires having a lower rigidity than a copper wire of 0.4 mm diameter can also be contacted, and the insulation displacement contact to be provided is intended to fit into the previously used receiving portions of housings, without reducing the rigidity of the insulation displacement contact. This is achieved by opposingly providing angles, bending or parallely displacing contact parts towards outside the contact zones of the contact legs in the area of the contact slot or by cut-free portions of the contact zones.

Obliquely disposed insulation displacement contact

The present invention relates to a terminal element including electrical contacts in insulation displacement technique in chambers of a receiving part for the strapless connection of conductors. The terminal element defines openings for receiving the electrical conductors. A chamber of a receiving part includes at least one opening for the introduction of a conductor. A sliding part surrounding a part of an insulation displacement contact element disposed in the chamber. The sliding part has an opening coinciding in one position of the sliding part with the opening in the receiving part, with the opening in the chamber and with the contact zone of the insulation displacement contact element. The closing part includes a device accessible from outside for moving the sliding part.

Terminal element

The invention relates in general to a cutting and clamping sleeve contact for contacting a cable core transversely to the sleeve axis, and in particular for cable cores of the telecommunication technology. The contact is made of a metal sleeve shell and includes a clamping slot for the insulated cable core and a cutting and clamping contact slot within the sleeve for the stripless termination of the cable core. The present invention also relates to a method for producing the cutting and clamping sleeve contact. A portion 13 of a sleeve shell 12 is bent off radially into an interior of the sleeve body 12 and is provided with a cutting/clamping contact slot 2. A clamping slot 3 is opposite to the cutting/clamping contact slot 2 and is cut into the sleeve shell 15. The present invention improves the cutting and clamping sleeve contact, with regard to the independence of the cutting/clamping slot 2 from the movements at the clamping slot 3, and with regard to the observation of accurate tolerances.

The invention relates to a terminal bank for the telecommunication and data technology, with a cable connecting member 1 provided with cutting and clamping contact elements 10 for the termination of incoming cable cores 14, and a terminating element to be latched thereunto for the connection of the incoming cable cores 14 with the outgoing cable cores 37. The cutting and clamping contact elements 10 of the cable connecting member 1 have contact lugs 7, onto which bifurcated contacts 9 of the terminating element can be plugged. The terminating element is adapted as a plug connector receiving portion 2 with chambers 23 being open towards bottom, for the insertion of plug connectors 6 connected with the outgoing cable cores 37, and that the bifurcated contacts 9 are provided at the plug connectors 6.

Terminal bank for the telecommunication and data technology

The invention relates to a wire connector for cable wires, in particular of telecommunication cables. The invention provides housing sections 2, 2' are constructed identically, and are adapted to be snap-fitted with each other after being rotated by 180 degrees relative to each other, that the crosspieces 6, 7 between the guide channels 8, 9 form the press-in sections, that the snap-fit elements are formed of the side walls 4, 5 of the housing sections 2, 2' extending parallely to the guide channels 8, 9 and that on the inner side of the longer side wall 4 is provided a receiving groove 11 for the other, shorter side wall 5 of the housing section 2, 2'.

Wire connector for cable wire, in particular of telecommunication cables

The invention relates to a connector bank for telecommunication systems comprising connecting elements 4, 25, 26 for cable wires and comprising contact elements 10 for electrical connection of the connecting elements 4, 25, 26 with the circuit tracks of a printed-circuit board 20. The arrangement prevents damage due to connecting forces which are otherwise transferred to the contact elements when connecting the cable wires to the connecting elements 4, 25, 26. According to the invention the contact elements 10 are provided as separate components of a contact pin 11 and of a plug connector member 12 being formed as one piece therewith for connection with the connecting elements 4, 25, 26.

Connector bank for telecommunication systems

The invention relates to a cutting/clamping contact (1) for contacting an insulated cable core (5), comprising two contact legs (2, 3) made of a blade-type, resilient metal material, between the inner sides (13, 14; 23, 24) of which an upwardly open contact slot (4) with an enlarged wire introduction section (7) is formed. In order to provide a cutting/clamping contact (1) which allows for contacting cable cores (5) having a thick insulation (6) as well as cable cores having a thin conductive core (12), in particular with a ratio of insulation to conductive core diameter larger than 3, the inner side (13, 14; 23, 24) of at least one contact leg (2, 3) comprises, in the wire introduction section (7) an inclined surface (8, 9) forming a cutting edge (10) directed into the wire introduction section (10).

Cutting/clamping contact

The invention relates to a connecting block for connecting insulated cable conductors, in particular cable conductors of the telecommunication and data technology, comprising insulation displacement contact elements received in block bodies and arranged in lines. In order to provide a connecting block (1), wherein it is at any time possible to connect or disconnect cable conductors, without the block body (3, 4) impeding the connection of the cable conductors to the other block body (3, 4), at least one block body (3, 4) is provided with an axis of rotation (5), about which the block body can be swung out off the connecting block (1) or a connector arrangement is provided allowing relative movement between the block bodies.

A connector bank with two rows of insulation displacement contacts for connecting insulated conductors, in particular of cables for telecommunication and data systems, comprising a surge arrester magazine to be inserted into the connector bank. In order to provide a connector bank having a voltage surge protection and allowing connecting and disconnecting as well as testing the attached cable conductors at the insulation displacement contacts even with inserted voltage surge protection, the two rows of insulation displacement contacts are arranged on different sides of the connector bank. An insulation displacement contact of the first row is connected over a connecting element with an insulation displacement contact of the second row. The surge arrester magazine is arranged laterally approximately centrally between the two rows of insulation displacement contacts.

The invention relates to a plug connector device for telecommunication and data systems, comprising a plug connector 1 and a connector bank 30. The connector bank 30 is formed of a housing with insulation displacement contacts 31 connected each to switching contacts 6. The plug connector 1 comprises a housing 2 with a connector tongue 4 supported therein and has contact tracks 5 on either side which can be inserted between two switching contacts 5 opposed to each other of the connector bank 30. The exterior distance B of two contact tracks 5 being smaller than the interior distance A between two stitching contacts 6. The plug connector 1 is provided such that there is no abrasion between the contact tracks 5 of the plug connector 1 and the switching contacts 5 of the connector bank 30 during the insert procedure. After the insert procedure, a contact connection with a sufficiently high contact force is established between the contact tracks 5 and the switching contacts 6. The contact tracks 5 of the plug connector 1 are formed as free contact strips 7 supported in the housing 2. The connector tongue 4 is mounted slidably in the housing 2 and is movable between the contacts strips 7, such that the contact strips 7 can be spread in the direction of the switching contacts 6 for establishing a contact connection.
