Exemplary embodiments are directed to a device with overvoltage protection that includes a varistor which can be connected by a first connection via a first line to high-voltage potential in a circuit arrangement, while a second connection is connected to ground via a second line. Furthermore, an additional impedance is provided, which can be connected between the second connection and ground or the first connection and the high voltage, or is mounted fixed in this position. The corresponding line can be interrupted by a switching arrangement. In order to test the withstand voltage of the circuit arrangement, at least one of the first and second line is interrupted and an additional impedance is inserted. A test voltage is applied to the circuit arrangement. After the overvoltage test, the interruption in at least one of the first and second lines is removed again.

Device with overvoltage protection and method for its testing

The disclosure relates to an electrical switching device, e.g., a high-voltage switch, with a mantle-side electrical connection. According to the disclosure, an encapsulated angle disconnector is fitted between the mantle-side electrical connection and the outdoor bushing or an outgoing cable, by means of which angle disconnector the electrical connection is deflected in the disconnector plane, e.g., toward the vertical in the operating position of the switching device. Exemplary embodiments relate, inter alia, to: a horizontal electrical connection and a, 90&#xb0; disconnector; an additional tilting angle (&#x3b2;) of the angle disconnector about the disconnector input axis; a plurality of mantle-side horizontal electrical connections with associated angle disconnectors, which are tilted away from one another.

High-voltage circuit breaker and switch arrangement

The substation has at least one outdoor busbar () as well as at least two switch bays which can be connected to the busbar and at least one encapsulated, gas-insulated, arrangement of switchgear modules () which is arranged in one of the switch bays. This switchgear arrangement contains at least one disconnector module (DS) and at least one circuit breaker module (CB). An installation module (MM) is arranged between the disconnector module and the circuit breaker module and allows lateral removal of at least one of the two switchgear modules (DS, CB). This substation is distinguished by high availability, since each of the most severely loaded components of the encapsulated switchgear arrangement, that is to say the disconnector module and the circuit breaker module, can be removed from the substation by lateral removal without having to change the position of the other components. Once the removed component has been replaced, the complete substation availability can be reproduced quickly and at low cost.
