A ball-screw actuator includes a screw nut having a metal core and an over-molded plastic outer shell. The plastic outer shell includes features which would be expensive to manufacture in a single piece metal screw nut, such as an anti-rotation feature, an axial position control feature, and a lateral position control feature. The anti-rotation feature may take the form of an axial groove or of an axial ridge.

A threaded nut of a ball-screw for a brake booster is constructed as a hydraulic piston and is produced from the group of martensitically hardening steels which are non-corroding with respect to brake fluid and which has in percent by weight: between 0.4% and 1.3% carbon (C), up to 2% silicon (Si), up to 2% manganese (Mn), between 12% and 20% chromium (Cr), and phosphorus (P) and sulphur (S) together at less than 0.015%, the balance being iron and, where applicable, melting-related impurities. Addition of the following materials to the above-described steel may be advantageous: up to 2% molybdenum (Mo), up to 0.2% vanadium (V), and up to 3% nickel (Ni).

Threaded nut of a ball screw drive

A shifting actuator for a transmission including a ball screw drive, having an electric-motor-driven threaded spindle, a multi-part spindle nut, and rolling elements, namely balls, which roll between the threaded spindle and the spindle nut. The nut body has a ball groove, in which there roll balls that are also in contact with the threaded spindle, and is within the sleeve. The shift fork protrudes from the sleeve and is fixed relative to the sleeve and to the main nut body.

Shifting actuator

The invention relates to a ball screw including a spindle nut arranged on a lead screw, and balls, which roll on ball grooves of the spindle nut and of the lead screw, and a circumferential stop on the screw side and a circumferential stop on the nut side, the spindle nut being arranged in a sleeve surrounding the ball nut, the sleeve is formed from sheet metal by shaping and the nut-side circumferential stop is formed integrally on the sleeve.

A ball screw drive with a spindle nut () arranged on a screw spindle () and a continuous ball channel () formed by the screw spindle () and the spindle nut (), in which channel balls arranged along a continuous ball track () circulate continuously, wherein the continuous ball channel () includes a load channel () wound in a spiral shape, with more than one winding, about a spindle axis (S) and a deflecting channel () which continuously connects the two ends of the load channel () to one another, wherein the spindle nut () has a nut part (), on the inner circumference of which a ball groove () is formed being wound in a spiral shape about the spindle axis S, which ball groove, together with a ball groove () of the screw spindle () being wound in a spiral shape about the spindle axis S, forms the load channel (), and wherein a deflecting element () including the deflecting channel () is arranged on the outer periphery of the nut part (), and the deflecting ends () of the deflecting element () axially spaced apart from one another each penetrate a recess () through the thickness of the wall of the nut part (), in order to deflect balls from the load channel () into the deflecting channel (), and wherein the recess () has an unloading bore () connecting to the ball groove () of the nut part () and to the deflecting end () of the deflecting element () for unloading the balls, the axis of which unloading hole is arranged at a parallel distance to a plane (E) containing the spindle axis (S).

Ball screw drive

A ball screw () having a threaded nut () arranged on the threaded shaft () and a ball channel () wound about the longitudinal axis of the threaded shaft (), and in which the balls () and at least one helical spring () are received. This helical spring () is supported on a molded part () which is inserted into a recess () of the threaded nut () and closes the recess ().

A rolling resistant heat-treated steel, which has the following elements indicated in mass fractions in relation to the overall weight: 0.5% to 0.6% inclusive carbon, 0.0031% to 0.005% inclusive boron and 3.5 parts or more parts of titanium in relation to 1 part of nitrogen.

Tempered steel

A spindle nut for a ball screw is provided, having a continuous ball track () for balls (), a ball groove () for the balls () extending on an inner periphery of the spindle nut about the rotational axis thereof and along a helical line, the ball groove extending across at least one thread (), and a diversion device (), in order to divert with its diverting channel () balls () from one end of the thread () to the beginning of the thread (). The spindle nut is provided with ball inlets (), on the one side connected to the ball groove () and, on the other side connected to the diverting channel (), with the ball groove () and the ball inlet () both having identical cross-sectional profiles.

Method for producing a spindle nut for a ball screw

A ball nut of a ball screw drive, in which the ball nut is mounted on a threaded spindle via balls. The ball nut has on its inner circumference a ball groove wound helically around an axis that extends over at least one winding, and a deflection body, with deflection ends, arranged on a circumferential face of the ball nut. The deflection ends engage into a recess of the ball nut, and adjoin an end and a start of the ball groove. The deflection body is supported on one side in radial directions and on the other side on a machine part. The deflection body is connected at its axial ends to bearings for mounting on the machine part. The bearings, which project circumferentially, engage into the recesses of the ball nut and are arranged with their bearing faces approximately flush with the outer circumferential face of the ball nut.

Ball nut

A ball screw drive which has a ball nut arranged on a spindle. The ball nut has a nut element and a deflecting element that deflects balls out of one end of an endless ball channel defined by the ball nut and the spindle to a beginning of the ball channel. The deflecting element is retained on the nut element through a clip. At least one clip leg of the clip has a first, resiliently biased section and a second section separated from the first section by a slit. The first section resiliently suspends the deflecting element on the nut element and the second section retains the clip inseparably on the deflecting element.

A ball screw is provided having a ball roller screw () and a screw nut () arranged thereon, whereby the balls () are arranged to endlessly circulate in a ball channel () defined by ball tracks () on the ball roller screw () and the screw nut (). The ball channel () includes a load section () wound about the ball roller screw (), the beginning and end of which are endlessly connected by a load-free return section (). A minimum of two and a maximum of four balls () are housed in a common ball cage (), the cage pockets () of which each house one of the balls (), whereby the ball cage () includes discs () at the axial ends thereof and between adjacent balls (), that engage the ball channels (), and provided on the sides thereof facing the balls () with a concave receptacle () for the balls ().

Ball screw, having a spindle nut () which may be provided on a recirculating ball screw () and on the inner circumference of which turns () of ball grooves (), helically wound around an axis, are provided in which balls () can roll, at least one return element (), arranged on the outer circumference of the spindle nut () and provided with a return duct () for the balls (), at its two ends connecting a start of a turn () to an end of a turn () in order to permit a continuous recirculation of the balls (), the return element () between its two ends being supported on a support (), the return element () being resiliently supported by means of at least one spring element () on the support ().

The ball screw mechanism has spindle nut () arranged rotatably on a ball-rolling spindle () and between which balls () roll on ball grooves (). A driving wheel () is fixed to the spindle nut (), for driving the spindle nut. ()The spindle nut () is mounted on a housing () by a rolling bearing (). The bearing has an outer ring () fixed to the housing () the outer ring () has a ring () surrounding the spindle nut (), and a bearing running surface () formed on the inner circumference of said the ring A radial flange (), adjoining the ring (), is fixed to the housing ().

Ball screw mechanism

Ball screw having a spindle nut () arranged on a spindle (), together with balls () which are arranged in a series and are capable of rolling in a helical ball track (), the helical ball track () being defined by a thread groove () formed on the spindle () and by a thread groove () formed on the spindle nut (), the balls () arranged in a series being returned in a return duct () from an outlet end to an inlet end of the helical ball track (), the divided circle end play of the series of balls being less than or equal to 0.3 millimeters or the ratio between the pitch of the helical ball track () and the diameter of the balls () ranging from 1.02 to 1.2 or the thread grooves () of the spindle nut () and of the spindle () in each case having a gothic profile (), a pressure angle formed by the balls () in contact with the gothic profile () ranging from 15 to 35 degrees.

A ball screw drive comprising a spindle nut () that can be disposed on a spindle (), said spindle nut () comprising on an inner periphery, a ball groove () that is arranged along a helix and defines a load-bearing channel () for balls (), an external deflector () arranged outside of the spindle nut () connecting the two ends of the load-bearing channel () endlessly to each other for deflecting the balls () from one of the two ends of the load-bearing channel () to the other of the two ends of the load-bearing channel (), a drive pinion for driving the spindle nut () being arranged on the spindle nut (), wherein the external deflector () is arranged at least substantially within an axial length of the drive pinion.
