A suspension () for a bicycle () comprising an elastic element () and a blocking/releasing device () of the elastic element (). The blocking/releasing device () comprises:&#x2014;a closed hydraulic circuit () containing a working fluid ();&#x2014;a cylinder-piston assembly () comprising a cylinder () and a piston () slidable inside said cylinder, said cylinder-piston assembly () being inserted in the hydraulic circuit () and being operatively disposed in parallel with said elastic element;&#x2014;a valve () commanded by an actuator () inserted in the hydraulic circuit () and configurable according to an open configuration, so that the working fluid () freely flows in the hydraulic circuit for enabling movements of the piston () inside the cylinder (), and a closed configuration, so that the working fluid () is prevented from flowing in the hydraulic circuit () and the piston () is kept blocked by the working fluid ();&#x2014;a main housing () receiving inside the cylinder-piston assembly (); wherein the hydraulic circuit () is made in a space formed between the walls of the main housing () and the walls of the cylinder ().

Suspension for a bicycle

The present invention relates to a method of controlling the stability of a two-wheeled vehicle including a first wheel associated with a first suspension and a second wheel associated with a second suspension. The method includes: detecting a signal representing the roll angle and detecting a signal representing the roll angular speed of the vehicle; detecting a signal representing the first force imposed on the first suspension; detecting a control signal representing the reference force to impose to the second suspension according to the signals representing the roll angle, of the roll angular speed and the first force. The present invention is also related to a system for controlling the stability of a two-wheeled vehicle.

Method and system of controlling the stability of a two-wheeled vehicle by electronically adjustable suspension

A method for controlling four semi-active suspensions of a vehicle comprising the steps of: determining, for each semi-active suspension, a first and a second signal representative of the acceleration and speed of the sprung mass; determining, for a pair of semi-active suspensions arranged on one side of the vehicle a third and a four signal representative of the acceleration and pitch speed; calculating for each semi-active suspension, a first damping coefficient as a function of the difference between the first and second signal squared; calculating for each semi-active suspension, a second damping coefficient as a function of the difference between the third and the four signal squared; for each semi-active suspension, comparing the first and the second damping coefficient for determining the higher coefficient; applying to each force generator device, an electronic control signal indicative of the respective high damping coefficient.
