A method and apparatus are provided for transmitting data exchanged by two terminals in a cellular radiocommunication network, each of the terminals being respectively associated with a base station of the cellular network. The method includes: identifying a shortened transmission path between the base stations, the shortened transmission path defining a direct transmission path for the data between the base stations without transiting via transcoding equipment present in the cellular radiocommunication network; and transmitting at least a portion of the data via the shortened transmission path, which is also called an intercellular loop-back operation.

Method for optimising transmission resources by inter-cellular loop in a mobile cellular radio-communication network and corresponding local network and adaptors

A method is provided for optimizing allocation of transmission resources in a mobile radio communication cellular network. The network has at least one base station controlled by a base station controller, and a connecting network connecting the base stations(s) with the base station controller, wherein setting up, maintaining and terminating a communications channel between a mobile station located in the cellular network are implemented by exchanges of signalling messages. The connecting network includes at least one radio link with shared resources between the base station(s) and the base station controller. Such a method includes: analysing content of all or a portion of the signalling messages, including searching for and detecting in the content of the signalling messages data indicating a traffic activity; and allocating or not allocating a resource channel in the radio link with shared resources according to data indicating a traffic activity.

Method for optimizing the allocation of resources in a cellular network using a shared radio transmission link, network and network adapters thereof

A method for transmitting data in a mobile radio communication cellular network, wherein setting up, maintaining and terminating a data communication channel between a caller and a called party located in the cellular network are implemented by the exchanges of signaling messages. A caller and/or a called party each is located in a local zone of the cellular network. The method includes: a first detecting phase if the caller and the called party of the communication are located in the same local zone of the cellular network, according to a detection strategy including a step of analyzing all or a portion of the signaling messages; and then triggering a local loopback operation of all or a portion of the data exchanged between the caller and the called party, in the case where the detecting phase confirms the local nature of the communication between the caller and the called party.
