A storage and presentation device for storing and presenting a plurality of longitudinal hand held implements, the storage and presentation device presenting a plurality of supports, each support being configured to support one longitudinal hand held implement, all of the supports being mounted to be rotatable about a common axis extending substantially perpendicularly to the longitudinal directions of the longitudinal hand held implements when they are supported by the supports. The storage and presentation device presenting a storage position in which the angle between all of the supports about the axial direction is less than 2&#xb0;, and a presentation position in which, for all of the supports, the angle between two adjacent supports about the axial direction is greater than or equal to 5&#xb0;.

A writing instrument that includes an ink reservoir and a writing tip fluidly connected to the reservoir and through which the ink comes out during use of the instrument. The reservoir contains, in addition to the ink, grains that are separate and that may have angles and sharp edges of dimensions that are significant relative to an apparent dimension (d) of the grains.

A writing instrument, which has an inner and outer writing element with separate writing medium reservoirs. The writing elements are coaxially mounted in an outer barrel and axially moveable with respect to one another. A driving mechanism may be actuated to allow a user to selectively extend one writing element. The inner and outer writing elements may have an inner sleeve therebetween to improve, for instance, rigidity of the outer writing element and to prevent contamination of the writing medium reservoirs. An outer sleeve may also be provided over the outer writing element. The outer sleeve can function to hold various components of the outer writing element together, and to allow for clean and easy refill of the outer writing element, especially when the outer writing element is a nib-type writing element with a filler-type reservoir. The writing instrument is designed so that a user can replace the inner and/or outer writing elements when their respective writing medium have been expended.

A writing implement that includes an ink reservoir, a writing tip fluidically connected to the reservoir and through which the ink emerges during a use of the implement, and a reservoir-venting device that includes a cavity in communication with the reservoir and with an orifice open to the outside of the implement. The cavity is suitable for absorbing an overflow of ink, characterized in that the cavity is filled with separate grains having angles and sharp edges having dimensions that are significant compared with an apparent dimension d of the grains.

The instrument has an auxiliary reservoir containing an ink carrier liquid, and an actuator for releasing said liquid from the auxiliary reservoir so that said liquid flows into the main reservoir and expels the ink towards the connector. The carrier liquid contains the ink solvent, in particular water in the case of a water-based ink, and preferably contains all or any of the components of the ink in the main reservoir, whereby the original writing properties of the residual ink carried by the carrier liquid are preserved.

A writing instrument, which has an inner and outer writing element with separate writing medium reservoirs. The liquid ink writing instrument has a body containing, from its rear end towards its front end, a reservoir for the ink and a front chamber containing a capillary element for transferring ink coming from the reservoir to a writing head. The front chamber communicates with ambient air. The writing head is fed with ink by the capillary element, and projects from the front portion of the body. The reservoir is separated from the front chamber by a flexible wall having shape memory and provided with slots. The flexible wall acts as a valve suitable for opening when the ratio of the pressure inside the reservoir over the pressure inside the volume of the front chamber facing the valve exceeds a first value, and of reclosing instantly as soon as the ratio becomes less than or equal to a second value, the valve releasing the ink in the form of a jet directed towards the rear face of the capillary element. The first value of the ratio of the pressures is preferably about 1.07, and the second value of the ratio is preferably about 1.05. The writing instrument includes means for pressurizing the reservoir.

A razor head is provided with an anti-friction element firmly secured to the razor head. The anti-friction element is formed of a sole and an upper layer. At least the upper layer contains a water-soluble polymer. The upper layer is secured to the sole such as by bonding, molding, coextrusion, overmolding, or twin-shot injection molding. The sole then is secured to the razor head by welding.

According to the invention, the writing or coloring pencil is obtained by tri-extrusion of three thermoplastic materials forming the lead material, the expanded wood material and an intermediate protective layer, containing no expanding agent, which is compatible with the lead material and the wood material and has a melting point which is equal to or higher than the melting points of the lead material and the wood material. The three co-extruded materials all contain in particular the same basic component, such as for example a polystyrene-methacrylate copolymer. The protective layer can be of a different color from the other two layers. The writing or coloring pencil with protective casing between the lead and the expanded wood, all three being in thermoplastic material, is, in particular a pencil with soft or extra-soft lead.
