A hinge mechanism for a motor vehicle seat allowing angular adjustment of a backrest relative to a seating portion. The hinge mechanism includes first and second hinge plates, a control member moving locking elements and biased to a locking position by first springs, and a drive shaft biased to a first rest position by second springs. The second springs are housed between the first and second hinge plates and are supported on the first plate.

Angular adjustment device for a vehicle seat

A hinge mechanism for a vehicle seat, allowing adjustment of the tilt of a seat backrest relative to a seat cushion. The hinge mechanism has two plates, the first plate containing base gear teeth on an edge directed inward, a set of first elements cooperating with a first control cam biased by first springs, a set of second elements cooperating with a second control cam biased by second springs, and a control hub for moving the control cams toward an unlocking position against the biasing of the first and second springs. The set of first elements have teeth offset angularly by at most a half-tooth relative to teeth of the set of second elements, thereby obtaining a small locking pitch.

A fixing device for fixing a seat to a floor of a vehicle, the seat including a seat proper which extends between a front end and a rear end. The fixing device comprises a base serving to support the seat proper, and provided with a rear coupling and with a front coupling, the front coupling comprising an anchoring fork serving to co-operate with a horizontal rod secured to the floor to allow the seat to be pivoted between an in-use position and a tilted-forwards position, the anchoring fork being provided with a finger, and the device further comprising an elastically deformable blade that is secured to the floor and that serves to co-operate with the finger to lock the seat proper to prevent it from pivoting when it is in its tilted-forwards position.

A motor-driven adjustment device for a vehicle seat is disclosed which may comprise a motor provided with a casing having two projecting endpieces in a support to which the casing is fixed. The two endpieces of the casing are received in viscoelastic sleeves which are elastically engaged in respective cradles for support so as to prevent rotation relative thereto, the casing being connected to the support solely by the sleeves.

A reduction gear with two reduction stages including a first reduction stage consisting of a wheel and worm screw system. The system has a screw and a first wheel. A second stage includes a pinion meshing with a second toothed wheel. The wheel of the wheel and worm screw system includes two lateral parts spaced axially and equipped with teeth adapted to mate with the thread of the screw. A center part is located between the lateral parts, and includes teeth with an outside diameter less than the diameter of the teeth of the first wheel, this center part forming the pinion of the second reduction stage.
