A threaded tubular connection includes a first body terminated by an external abutment, and linked to a male threading prolonged by a terminal portion forming an internal abutment surface at its axial end, such that the connection includes a second body defining a bearing surface for the external abutment at one free end, and including an initial portion on its internal surface connecting the bearing surface to a female threading, made up onto the male threading, and terminating in an internal shoulder facing the internal abutment, such that the linking profile between one of the following: the external abutment, the internal abutment, the bearing surface, and/or the internal shoulder, has a profile with a variable diameter in cross section, over a length of the body which is less than the terminal portion or initial portion.

Threaded joint with low tightening torque

Tubular drill string component for drilling a hole with circulation of a drilling fluid around the component and in a direction going from a drill hole bottom to the surface. The component includes a first end including a female threading, a second end including a male threading, and a substantially tubular central zone. The component includes a communication tube arranged at least in the central zone and in contact with a bore of the central zone. A signal transmission cable is arranged in the tube. The communication tube includes a body formed from at least one metal strip arranged with an annular component. The body includes, in section along a plane passing through the axis of the tube, at least two axially elongated lengths, partially overlapping one another with an axial play selected to accommodate the maximum elastic deformation of the component under axial compressive and/or bending stress.

Tubular drill string component and corresponding drill string

A drill string element including a main pipe with connection ends and a protective mechanism for at least one wire. The protective mechanism extends within a central bore of the main pipe. The main pipe presents a first hole in one of the connection ends and a second hole in the other connection end, both holes communicating with the central bore. The protective mechanism includes a guide tube arranged for housing the wire, both ends of which being respectively disposed within the first hole and the second hole. A retaining mechanism is arranged in at least one of the first hole and the second hole for the respective end of the guide tube. The retaining mechanism is configured to prevent the respective end of the guide tube from moving relative to the one of the first hole and the second hole according to at least one longitudinal direction of the hole.

Wired drill pipe with improved configuration

A unit dedicated to mechanically loading a tubular sample. At least one packer is housed in a sample at a test zone, having a longitudinal extension greater than that of the test zone and including i) a first pressure mechanism to cause local variation in the diameter of at least a first portion of the packer so as to apply the packer against an internal surface of the sample at the test zone, ii) a second pressure mechanism exerting a first selected internal pressure over a portion of the internal surface located at a second portion of the packer, and/or iii) a third pressure mechanism to cooperate with at least one plug member attached to the sample at a distance from one end of the packer to define a zone of action, to exert on the sample a second selected internal pressure at the zone of action.
