An automatic oven having a controller and a sensor assembly for automatically determining a food type for a food item placed in a cooking chamber of the automatic oven, and cooks the automatically determined food item according to a cooking profile selected based on the determined food type, while optionally accommodating a user input on the determining of the food type, and the cooking profile, including an optional degree of doneness.

A microwave oven () with a full glass door () for preventing microwave leakage from the cooking cavity () of the microwave oven () is provided. The front plate () of the cooking cavity () has a conductive material (), such as a rubber with conductive filler. The inner glass surface () of the door () has a conductive coating that creates a ground loop with the conductive material () on the front plate () of the cooking cavity () to prevent microwave leakage from the cooking cavity ().
