Disclosed are methods and apparatuses for managing reports. In certain aspects, an apparatus for managing reports including a processing system is disclosed. The processing system is configured to receive a plurality of reports from a plurality of other apparatuses, filter out one or more of the plurality of reports, and forward the remaining plurality of reports to another apparatus, wherein each of the plurality of reports comprises data based on a sensor measurement at the respective one of the plurality of other apparatuses.

Systems and method for providing sensors in batteries are provided. In certain aspects of the disclosure, a battery comprises a housing dimensioned to fit within a battery compartment of the communication device, a battery cell configured to supply power to the communication device, one or more sensors within the housing configured to measure a condition external to the battery and to received power from the battery cell, and an interface configured to interface the one or more sensors with a processing system in the communication device.

Disclosed are methods and apparatuses for managing other apparatuses. In certain aspects, an apparatus for managing other apparatuses includes a processing system configured to receive one or more reports from the other apparatuses, and to send a message to at least one of the other apparatuses, wherein the message instructs the at least one of the other apparatuses to configure at least one parameter that controls when the at least one of the other apparatus sends a report to the apparatus.

A method of communication is disclosed and includes attempting to establish a connection with a destination wireless device. The method also includes determining that the destination wireless device does not include required software. Additionally, the method includes transmitting an indication to the destination wireless device that required software is necessary to establish the connection. Further, the method includes transmitting an indication to the destination wireless device that the originating wireless device is authorized with respect to a one-time download of the required software. The method also includes transmitting a request to a download server to download the required software to the destination wireless device.

System and method for establishing communication between wireless devices

Coupon systems and methods for delivering and redeeming coupons comprise a communications network defined by at least a wireless telephone network coupled to a computer network, where the communications network is associated with a plurality of communication devices that define a group communications net. A communications manager is operable to provide a group communication session by receiving a data packet from one member of the group communications net and transmitting the data packet through the computer network to at least one of the other members of the group communications net. A coupon module having a plurality of coupons is associated with the communications manager, and a delivery module is coupled to each of the coupon module, the communications manager, and the communications network. The delivery module is operable to monitor the group communication session and to deliver one of the plurality of coupons to the group communications net. Further, methods of delivering, authorizing and redeeming the coupons are disclosed.

Coupon systems and methods of use of coupons within a group communications system

Systems and methods for delivering information include a communications network defined by at least a wireless telephone network coupled to a computer network, where the communications network is associated with a plurality of communication devices that define a group communications net. A communications manager is operable to provide a group communication session by receiving a data packet from one member of the group communications net and transmitting the data packet through the computer network to at least one of the other members of the group communications net. A message module having a plurality of informational messages is associated with the communications manager, and a delivery module is coupled to each of the message module, the communications manager, and the communications network. The delivery module is operable to monitor the group communication session and to deliver one of the plurality of informational messages to the group communications net. Further, methods of billing a user for participation in the group communications session include discounting an amount due based on receipt of informational messages.
