A method and system for providing attribute verification () consistent with the invention includes obtaining the attributes () of the item prior to placing the item in a delivery system (), verifying correctness of the attributes (), and transmitting an indication of the correctness of the attributes to a delivery system operator over a communications system ().

Item attribute preverification

An improved mail receptacle that expands to accommodate a large volume of mail, which volume could include a parcel. To attain this, the mail receptacle has an expandable pouch. In an embodiment, the pouch is configured to be stored in a pouch box, which box is affixed to or integral with the mail compartment. In an embodiment, the mail receptacle has a flexible post. In an embodiment, the mail receptacle has a mounting plate incorporated into the mail compartment; such mounting plate couples the mail receptacle to the post such that the mail compartment can rotate about the post.

Mail receptacle

A new and improved spare tire and axle system for a trailer, comprising a spare tire, rim and hub assembly with an attachment plate secured thereto for coupling to a trailer. A handle raises the assembly and attachment plate to a storage position and lowers the assembly to an operative position. Locking components secure the assembly and attachment plate in one position or the other.
