A method computer and magnetic resonance (MR) apparatus for controlling a table position of an examination table of the MR apparatus during an MR measurement. An SAR load is determined for an examination object with a calculated pulse sequence, at least for a first table position. Then the table position is adjusted while taking into consideration the SAR load at the first table position. The adjustment of the table position ensures that the SAR load of the examination object is reduced.

Adjustment of the table position in MR imaging

A computerized method is disclosed for detecting a brain region with neurodegenerative change and also a brain region with vascular change in the brain of a patient and also an imaging arrangement suitable for this. In at least one embodiment, the method includes recording a first data record of the brain via positron emission tomography and a second data record of the brain via magnetic resonance imaging; reconstructing a PET image from the first data record and an MRI image from the second data record; identifying evidence for a brain region with vascular change in the MRI image; segmenting the MRI image into gray matter and white matter; identifying a brain region with neurodegenerative change in the PET image; and superposing the PET image and the segmented MRI image to determine whether the brain region with neurodegenerative change is present in gray matter or in white matter, the recording of the first data record and the second data record being carried out in quick succession without repositioning the patient or is even carried out simultaneously.

A method is disclosed for determining at least one PET parameter for a PET examination in a combined magnetic resonance/PET scanner designed for isocentric measurement. In at least one embodiment, at least one acquisition time for the PET examination is determined as a PET parameter from magnetic resonance data, recorded for determining patient-specific examination parameters for a magnetic resonance examination, and/or from at least one patient-specific information value derived therefrom, and is displayed and/or used for controlling the scanner.

In at least one embodiment, the automated production of the actual measuring sequence allows the measuring protocols of the individual modalities to be planned in a simple manner for a number of regions. The focus can therefore be on diagnostic questions at the measurement planning stage.
