The invention provides an analgesic cream containing ibuprofen with superior skin penetration properties obtained in part by maintaining a pH of 4 to 7.2 such that the ibuprofen is suspended in substantially solid crystalline form.

Analgesic compositions

A pharmaceutical dosage form is provided which disintegrates rapidly in water having an open matrix network structure comprised of mannitol and a natural gum and which can be used particularly for oral administration to pediatric and geriatric patients.

Fast dissolving dosage forms

A pediatric ibuprofen composition is provided wherein the ibuprofen remains in suspension and wherein the bitter taste of ibuprofen is masked, the primary suspending agents being xanthan gum, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium carboxymelthylcellulose and polysorbate, and the primary taste masking agents being sucrose and sorbitol solution.

Pediatric ibuprofen compositions

A therapeutic taste-neutral powder form of acetaminophen obtained by spray-drying a suspension of acetaminophen in a solution of ethylcellulose in an organic solvent selective for ethylcellulose.

Spray dried acetaminophen

A therapeutic taste-neutral powder form of acetaminophen obtained by spray-drying a suspension of acetaminophen in a solution of a particular copolymer, cationic in character, based on dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate and neutral methacrylic acid esters.

A therapeutic taste-neutral powder form of acetaminophen obtained by spray-drying a dispersion of acetaminophen and ethyl cellulose in water having a plasticizer dissolved or suspended therein.
