A Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) system for inter-device communication is described. Information data from each neuromorphic chip is coded and modulated, on the basis of destination, into different channels. The parallel signals in different channels are sent serially using TDM to a central router. After signal grouping by a central switching controller, each group of signals may be delivered to corresponding transmitter in the central router for transmission to a corresponding receiver in the neuromorphic chip using TDM.

MIMO-OFDM system for robust and efficient neuromorphic inter-device communication

A method and apparatus for analyzing an input signal. A nonlinear filter system comprises a plurality of polyphase filter banks corresponding to a plurality of orders of nonlinearity. Each of the plurality of polyphase filter banks is configured to process an input signal with respect to a plurality of selected frequency subbands to generate an output signal that corresponds to a corresponding order of the each of the plurality of polyphase filter banks.

Nonlinear filtering using polyphase filter banks

A digital filter bank includes a first sample and hold unit, one or more second sample and hold units one or more quantizers and one or more polyphase component filters. In another aspect, a digital filter bank includes a first sample and hold unit, a discrete time commutator and one or more polyphase component filters. In another aspect, a method for digitally filtering a signal includes sampling an input signal at a first frequency, sampling and holding the first sampled signal at a second frequency, quantizing the one or more second sampled signals to output channelized signals, and filtering the one or more quantized signals and outputting one or more filtered signals using one or more polyphase component filters.

Direct digital RF conversion

A method and apparatus for processing images. A portion of a selected image in which a moving object is present is identified. The selected image is one of a sequence of images. Pixels in a region of interest are identified in the selected image. First values are identified for a first portion of the pixels using the images and first transformations. The first portion of the pixels corresponds to the background in the selected image. A first transformation is configured to align features of the background between one image in the images and the selected image. Second values are identified for a second portion of the pixels using the images and second transformations. The second portion of the pixels corresponds to the moving object in the selected image. A second transformation is configured to align features of the moving object between one image in the images and the selected image.
