An ultraviolet-C light radiation disinfection fixture is provided. The ultraviolet-C light radiation disinfection fixture comprises a tray, a top plate, at least one louver mount, at least one ultraviolet-C light radiation source to disinfect and sterilize an air flow, a sterilization field outside the ultraviolet-C light radiation disinfection fixture, a sterilization chamber within the ultraviolet-C light radiation disinfection fixture, a plurality of ultraviolet-C light radiation reflective louvers, the plurality of reflective louvers sized and positioned proximate one another, to direct ultraviolet-C light radiation from the ultraviolet-C light radiation source to create the sterilization field and the sterilization chamber to eradicate bacterial, viral or pathogen particles from the air flow and wherein the plurality reflective louvers are positioned to limit the scatter of ultraviolet-C light radiation outside the ultraviolet-C light radiation disinfection fixture to protect humans and animals present in an enclosure while the ultraviolet-C light radiation disinfection fixture is operational.

Ultraviolet light radiation disinfection fixture

A ventilation system is provided, the ventilation system comprising at least one air flow generating device, the at least one air flow generating device having a calibrated speed to produce a downward air flow capable of forcing a cloud of infectious bacterial, viral or pathogen particles or droplets out of an ingestion zone of a mouth, a nose and eyes of an individual, at least one ultraviolet C light lamp positioned proximate at least one wall of an area in a pathway of an infected air flow, the infected air flow containing the cloud of infectious bacterial, viral or pathogen particles or droplets, an ultraviolet C radiation field created by the at least one ultraviolet C light lamp, the ultraviolet C radiation field extending throughout the area from the at least one wall near a ceiling of the area and the infected air flow containing the cloud of infectious bacterial, viral or pathogen particles or droplets passing through the ultraviolet C radiation field, wherein the at least one air flow generating device is positioned to enable an upward air flow return to the at least one air flow generating device to force the infected air flow and the cloud of infectious bacterial, viral or pathogen particles or droplets out of an area and through the ultraviolet C radiation field to eradicate the infectious bacteria, virus and pathogens from the infected air flow, and wherein a fresh air flow free of infectious bacteria, viruses and pathogens is reintroduced back into the area by the downward air flow of the at least one air flow generating device.

An ultraviolet-C light fixture is provided, the ultraviolet-C light fixture comprising at least one ultraviolet-C light bulb to sterilize an air flow, an ultraviolet-C radiation field created by the at least one ultraviolet-C light bulb to sterilize the air flow, a top end cap, a base and a plurality of louvers, the plurality of louvers positioned proximate one another, the top end cap and the base to create a gap, the gap sized to allow ultraviolet radiation to pass outside the ultraviolet light fixture to create a sterilization field outside the ultraviolet light fixture to eradicate bacterial, viral or pathogen particles from the air flow surrounding the fixture and the gap sized to allow passage of the air flow containing a cloud of infectious bacterial, viral or pathogen particles to pass through a sterilization chamber within the ultraviolet light fixture to eradicate bacterial, viral or pathogen particles from the air flow.

The prosthesis includes a first prosthetic component, the first prosthetic component including a first surface and the first prosthetic component being formed of a copolymer elastomer compound, the copolymer elastomer compound including a thermoplastic elastomer, a plurality of long glass fibers, the long glass fibers being randomly dispersed throughout the thermoplastic elastomer to improve surface fatigue life and inhibit surface crack propagation to the prosthesis and improve wear resistance of the prosthesis, a number of the plurality of long glass fibers protruding outward from the first surface of the first prosthetic component; a second prosthetic component, the second prosthetic component including a second surface, the second surface of the second prosthetic component positioned proximate the first surface of the first prosthetic component to engage the plurality of long glass fibers protruding from the first surface of the first prosthetic component allowing the second surface of the second prosthetic component to slide relative to the first surface of first prosthetic component while contacting the plurality of long glass fibers protruding outward from the first surface of the first prosthetic component, a gap, the gap created by the voids between the second surface of the second prosthetic component, the first surface of the first prosthetic component and the plurality of long glass fibers that protrude outward from the first surface of the first prosthetic component, the gap further disposed between the first surface of the first prosthetic component and the second surface of the second prosthetic component to allow the passage of fluid between the first surface of the first prosthetic component and the second surface of the second prosthetic component, a first trough, the first trough formed as the plurality of long glass fibers protruding outward from the first surface are forced into the thermoplastic elastomer as the prosthesis is loaded, the first trough positioned proximate each of the plurality of long glass fibers and encasing a perimeter of each of the plurality of long glass fibers.

The prosthesis includes a first prosthetic component, the first prosthetic component including a first surface and the first prosthetic component is formed of a plastic compound, the plastic compound includes a polymer, a plurality of long glass fibers, the long glass fibers being randomly dispersed throughout the polymer to improve surface fatigue life and inhibit surface crack propagation to the prosthesis and improve wear resistance of the prosthesis, a number of the plurality of long glass fibers configured to protrude outward from the first surface of the first prosthetic component, a plurality of beads, the beads being randomly dispersed throughout the polymer to improve surface fatigue life and inhibit surface crack propagation to the prosthesis and improve wear resistance of the prosthesis, a number of the plurality of beads configured to protrude outward from the first surface of the first prosthetic component, a second prosthetic component, the second prosthetic component including a second surface, the second surface of the second prosthetic component configured to engage said first surface of said first prosthetic component and slide relative to the first surface of the first prosthetic component while contacting the plurality of long glass fibers protruding outward from the first surface of the first prosthetic component and the plurality of beads protruding outward from the first surface of the first prosthetic component.

A plastic tolerance proofing tool adapted to be implemented with a computer system. The computer system includes a processor and a memory storing a CAD object of an apparatus to be manufactured with a material. The tool includes a criteria selector operable to prompt for and receive a type of plastic material for the apparatus to be manufactured in and an extractor operable to determine a nominal dimension and a related tolerance from the CAD object. The tool further includes a comparator operable to compare the tolerance with a first threshold and a second threshold, and a tagging module operable to tag the CAD object based on the comparisons.

Systems, methods, and tools for proofing a computer-aided design object

Systems, methods, and tools for proofing computer-aided design (CAD) objects (e.g., CAD drawings or models). The objects are implemented with CAD software and represent an apparatus. An exemplary method includes receiving a CAD object representing the apparatus, determining criteria for proofing the CAD object, determining rules, extracting items of interest from the CAD object, and comparing the extracted items with the rules. An example item of interest is a drawing note on the CAD object and an example rule includes a plurality of keywords.

A casting tolerance proofing tool adapted to be implemented with a computer system. The computer system has a processor and a memory storing a CAD object of an apparatus to be manufactured with a casting process. The proofing tool includes a criteria selector operable to prompt for and receive a type of casting process for the apparatus to be manufactured with, and an extractor operable to determine a nominal dimension and a related tolerance from the CAD object. The proofing tool further includes a comparator operable to compare the tolerance with a first threshold and a second threshold.

Methods and systems of validating the application of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing ('GD&T') in a drawing. In one embodiment, a method of validating the application of GD&T in a drawing includes creating a drawing having at least one drawing element. Next, a geometric dimensioning and tolerancing rule is applied to the at least one drawing element of the drawing. The legality of the applied geometric dimensioning and tolerancing rule is then verified with a software validation tool. Each illegal application of the geometric dimensioning and tolerancing rule is indicated with the software validation tool. Finally, a report is generated with the software validation tool, which contains each illegal application of the geometric dimensioning and tolerancing rule.

Drawing validation tool

A fitting for making a metal-to-metal fluid seal between a first conduit and a second conduit and corresponding first and second fluid passages. The first conduit has a generally spherical-shaped exterior surface, and the second conduit has a generally conical-shaped interior surface for receiving the generally spherical-shaped exterior surface of the first conduit. A nut is engaged with a threaded exterior surface of the second conduit, tightening of the nut on the threaded exterior surface urging the first and second conduits axially together to apply increasing pressure. A ring can be positioned between the nut and the first conduit, the ring providing a lower net coefficient of friction during tightening of the nut compared to direct contact between the nut and first conduit. The ring can be radially spaced from a radially facing interior surface of the nut.
