A lift device includes a base, a platform, and a scissor assembly coupling the base to the platform. The scissor assembly includes a first scissor layer, a second scissor layer, and a third scissor layer each including an inner arm pivotally coupled to an outer arm. The first scissor layer has a first middle axis offset vertically from a first end axis center point. A kicker assembly couples an actuator configured to raise and lower the platform to the second scissor layer and the third scissor layer. The kicker assembly includes a kicker with opposing first and second kicker ends. The kicker is pivotally coupled to the second scissor layer and releasably coupled to the third scissor layer. The actuator rotates the kicker relative to the second scissor layer. A guide is coupled to the kicker and configured to limit the rotation of the kicker.

A lift device includes a scissor assembly coupling a base to a platform. The scissor assembly includes a first scissor layer including a first inner arm configured to rotate relative to a first outer arm about a middle axis. The first scissor layer has an end axis center point defined based on the positions of the end axes about which the first inner arm and the first outer arm rotate. The first middle axis is offset from the first end axis center point. The scissor assembly further includes a second scissor layer coupled to the first scissor layer and extending between the first scissor layer and the platform. The second scissor layer includes a second inner arm pivotally coupled to a second outer arm.

A steering system includes a first wheel and a second wheel laterally spaced apart from the first wheel, and a third wheel and a fourth wheel laterally spaced apart from the third wheel. The first wheel is rotatably coupled to a first knuckle and the second wheel is rotatably coupled to a second knuckle. The third wheel and the fourth wheel are both pivotally fixed in a forward-aligned orientation. The steering system includes a first tie rod having a first end pivotally coupled to the first knuckle and a second end pivotally coupled to a mechanical linkage, a second tie rod having a first end pivotally coupled to the second knuckle and a second end pivotally coupled to the mechanical linkage, and an electrical actuator coupled to the mechanical linkage. The mechanical linkage is arranged in front of the electrical actuator relative to a travel direction.

Lift steering systems and methods

A lift device includes a base, a platform that is repositionable relative to the base between a fully raised position and a fully lowered position, a scissor assembly coupling the base to the platform, and a booster. The scissor assembly includes a scissor layer including a first scissor arm pivotally coupled to a second scissor arm, a pulley coupled to the scissor layer, a tensile member wrapped around the pulley, and an actuator configured to vary a working length of the tensile member such that the first scissor arm rotates relative to the second scissor arm to move the platform relative to the base. A booster is positioned to engage a portion of the tensile member and apply an upward force on the scissor assembly when the platform is in the fully lowered position.

Tension driven scissor lift

A foldable rail assembly is coupled to a platform and includes vertical rails and a rectangular rail structure that is hingedly coupled to the vertical rails. The rectangular rail structure is rotatable about hinged couplings formed between the rectangular rail structure and the vertical rails, and movable between a first, deployed position and a second, folded position. The rectangular rail structure extends upwardly from the platform higher in the first position than in the second position.

A steering system includes a first wheel and a second wheel spaced apart from the first wheel, a first tie rod, a second tie rod, and an electrical actuator. The first wheel is rotatably coupled to a first knuckle, and the first knuckle is pivotable about a first suspension post. The second wheel is rotatably coupled to a second knuckle, and the second knuckle is pivotable about a second suspension post spaced apart from the first suspension post. The first tie rod is coupled to the first knuckle and to a mechanical linkage. The second tie rod is coupled to the second knuckle and the mechanical linkage. The electrical actuator is coupled to the mechanical linkage so that movement of the electrical actuator translates the mechanical linkage axially, which adjusts the orientation of the wheels relative to the suspension posts.

The scissor assembly includes a first scissor layer including a first inner arm pivotally coupled to a first outer arm. A lift device includes a base, a platform configured to support an operator, and a scissor assembly coupling the base to the platform. The scissor assembly includes an actuator configured to extend and retract the scissor assembly to move the platform between a fully raised position and a fully lowered position, a first scissor arm pivotally coupled to a second scissor arm, and a prop pivotally coupled to the first scissor arm such that the prop rotates about a lateral axis. The prop is configured to selectively engage an engagement surface defined by at least one of the second scissor arm and a protrusion coupled to the second scissor arm, thereby preventing the platform from reaching the fully lowered position.
