The present invention relates to systems and methods for accurately and safely directing the movement of shooting range targets, and more specifically, to provide self-calibration and synchronicity to programmable target carriers and automatically resetting targets.

Software and sensor system for controlling range equipment

A target system includes a blocking plate with one or more openings through which bullets are fired and one or more targets for being struck by the bullets disposed behind the blocking plate and generally in line with the one or more openings. The target system includes a slotted bracket which limits the range of movement of the target after it has been struck by a projectile. The slotted bracket also provides for tool-less attachment and removal of the targets from the blocking plate.

A walking target may include a plurality of target impact areas which are oriented in at least two different planes so that a plurality of target impact areas rest on a surface and hold one target impact area generally upright. The walking target may be formed from a single piece of metal.

The present invention relates to equipment for target ranges, and more specifically, to moveable track-mounted target carriers having means for adjusting suspension or cushioning. The present disclosure also relates to target carriers with cable tension adjusting means which can be accessed without disturbing or disassembling the target carrier.

Moveable target carrier system

A high caliber target includes a target plate and a stand. The target plate may be mounted on and removed from the stand. In accordance with one embodiment, the target plate can be mounted and removed without tools. In accordance with one embodiment, the target plate is presented to the shooter without joints or edges which could promote ricochets back toward the shooter. In accordance with another embodiment, the target plate can pivot on impact relative to the stand.
