A conductive composition and a CRT bulb employing the conductive layer. The conductive composition includes from about 0.4 to about 10 wt % of tin oxide, from about 4.5 to about 7.0 wt % of a dispersing agent, from about 3.5 to about 7.0 wt % of an antiabsorbent, from about 0.8 to about 4.0 wt % of a vaporization inhibitor, and from about 0.020 to about 0.25 wt % of a surfactant, based on the total weight of an alcoholic solvent. The conductive composition exhibits good solubility, coating performance, and heat stability, and a conductive layer formed of the conductive composition exhibits low surface resistance and enhanced luminance.

Conductive composition

A polymer for a photo-conductive layer and a preparation method thereof is provided. The polymer is suitable for using as a charge transporting material for a photo-conductive layer owing to its excellent electron transporting capacity as well as high solubility to a solvent and good compatibility with the binder polymer.

Polymer for photo-conductive layer and preparation method thereof

A photo-conductive composition and CRT bulb having a photo-conductive layer formed of the same are provided. The photo-conductive composition comprises 5-15 wt % of a charge transmitting substance, represented by the structural formula (1); ##STR1## where R.sub.1 is selected from the group consisting of a phenyl group substituted by one to three substituents selected from the group consisting of amino, dialkylamino, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl and cyano groups; 9-alkyl carbazole group; naphthyl group, and R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are same or different independently from each other, each being selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl, phenyl and naphthyl groups, and n is between 0 and 2; 1-15 wt % of a charge generating substance which absorbs light in the wavelength range of an ultraviolet region; 70-94 wt % of a binder; and 0.05-1 wt % of a surfactant. The photo-conductive composition exhibits excellent sintering characteristic and can form a photoconductive layer having excellent coating properties, durability and luminance.

A photo-conductive composition and CRT bulb having a photoconductive layer formed of the same are provided. The photo-conductive composition comprises 5-15 wt % of a charge transmitting substance, represented by the structural formula (1) ##STR1## where R is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 linear alkyl or branched alkyl, halogen, alkylamino (NR.sub.1), alkylester (COOR.sub.1) and .alpha.-cyanomethyl alkylketone (CH(CN)COR.sub.2), R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 being selected from the group consisting of C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 alkyl, aryl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 alkoxy and aryloxy, and n is an integer between 500 and 1000; 1-15 wt % of a charge generating substance which absorbs light in the wavelength range of an ultraviolet region; 70-93.95 wt % of a binder; and 0.05-1 wt % of a surfactant. The photo-conductive composition exhibits excellent sintering characteristic and can form a photoconductive layer having excellent sensitivity, durability and luminance.

A phosphor for a color cathode ray tube (CRT) characterized in which the phosphor is coated with a charge regulator such as nigrosine or quaternary ammonium salt and manufacturing method thereof are provided. The phosphor according to the present invention can be positively charged to a level suitable for forming a fluorescent screen by an electrophotographic process.
