An organic light-emitting display device having a touch sensor is discussed. The organic light-emitting display device includes a touch sensor formed in a single-layer structure and disposed on an encapsulation unit disposed on a light-emitting element. First and second bridges and first and second touch electrodes included in the touch sensor having a single-layer structure are formed of the same material as each other in the same plane, e.g., on the uppermost layer of the encapsulation unit, thereby simplifying the structure thereof and reducing costs.

Organic light-emitting display device having touch sensor

Disclosed is an organic light emitting display having reduced thickness and weight. The organic light emitting display with a touch sensor removes the necessity of an additional adhesion process by directly forming a touch sensor including a touch sensing line and a touch driving line and a color filter on the encapsulation layer covering a light emitting device, thereby simplifying a manufacturing process and reducing manufacturing costs.

A touch display device includes a unit pixel disposed on a substrate, the unit pixel comprising a plurality of subpixels; a light-emitting element disposed at each of the plurality of subpixels; an encapsulation unit disposed on the light-emitting element; a plurality of touch electrodes disposed on the encapsulation unit; a touch line connected to each of the plurality of touch electrodes, the touch line extending through the touch electrode; and at least one redundant electrode spaced apart from the touch electrode, the redundant electrode being independently disposed in each of the plurality of touch electrodes, the redundant electrode being disposed in the unit pixel. The redundant electrode is disposed along the touch line, whereby it is possible to reduce parasitic capacitance formed between the touch line and the touch electrode.

A touch display device includes a touch sensing electrode and a touch drive electrode disposed on an encapsulation unit configured to encapsulate a light-emitting element, the touch sensing electrode and the touch drive electrode being configured to form a first mutual capacitor, and first and second compensation electrodes disposed in a non-active area of a substrate so as to be opposite each other, the first and second compensation electrodes being configured to form a second mutual capacitor, whereby the value of capacitance of all mutual capacitors is increased, and therefore it is possible to prevent deterioration in touch performance.

A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal panel comprising a first substrate and a second substrate, a seal pattern arranged in the edge provided between the first and second substrates, and a liquid crystal layer, a plurality of first electrodes and second electrodes crossing each other and arranged in the seal pattern on an outer surface of the second substrate, a pad electrode for the touch panel partially overlapping the seal pattern on the outer surface of the second substrate, a pad electrode for the liquid crystal panel arranged at the outside of the seal pattern on the first substrate, a chip-on-film (COF) connected to the pad electrode for the liquid crystal panel, a printed circuit board for driving the liquid crystal panel, connected to the chip-on-film, a routing line to connect the pad electrode for the touch panel to the first electrodes and the second electrodes on the outer surface of the second substrate, and a flexible printed cable connected to pad electrodes for the touch panel, to receive driving signals of the first and second electrodes, the flexible printed cable connected to the printed circuit board.

A flat panel display device includes a display panel having at least one link pixel which has a non-defect area and a panel defect area and where adjacent pixels are linked to each other; a memory which stores a first compensation data for compensating the data which are to be displayed in the panel defect area, a second compensation data for compensating the data of a bordering part between the panel defect area and the non-defect area, and a third compensation data for compensating the data which are to be displayed in the link pixel. The first compensation data is adjusted through at spatial dispersion or temporal dispersion; the data that are to be displayed in a fixed area inclusive of the boundary are adjusted by dispersing the second compensation data to the fixed area inclusive of the boundary; the data that are to be displayed in the link pixel are adjusted to the third compensation data.

Liquid crystal display device and method of driving the same

A backlight unit of an LCD device is provided. The backlight unit includes a light emitting unit, a light guide plate, a reflection plate and a light scattering unit. The light emitting unit has a passive light emission lamp that generates green light and a self-light emission lamp that generates red and blue light. The light guide plate is disposed between the passive light emission lamp and the self-light emission lamp. The light guide plate mixes the red and blue light emitted from the self-light emission type lamp and guides the mixed light to an upper side thereof. The reflection plate is disposed below the self-light emission lamp. In addition, the light scattering unit is disposed above the passive light emission type lamp.

Backlight unit and liquid crystal display device having the same

A method of driving a backlight unit is provided. The backlight includes a plurality of lamps sequentially turned on/off. Each of the plurality of lamps is periodically turned on for a predetermined period. The method includes applying a first lamp current to one of the plurality of lamps for a first time period within the predetermined period so that the one of the plurality of lamps emits light with a first brightness, and applying a second lamp current to the one of the plurality of lamps for a second time period within the predetermined period so that the one of the plurality of lamps emits light with a second brightness.
