A method and a subscriber station for allocating rights of access to a telecommunications channel of the telecommunications network to at least one subscriber station () are proposed in which information signals are transmitted to the at least one subscriber station (). With the information signals, access authorization data () are transmitted to the at least one subscriber station (). Upon reception of the access authorization data () in an evaluation unit () of the at least one subscriber station (), the question is asked whether the access authorization data () include an access threshold value (S), and the access threshold value (S) is compared with a random number or a pseudo-random number (R), and the right of access to a telecommunications channel of the at least one subscriber station () is granted as a function of the outcome of comparison.

Method of allocating access rights to a telecommunications channel to subscriber stations of a telecommunications network and subscriber station

A method of assigning transmission channels in a telecommunications network and a user station are provided, which facilitate an increase in the capacity of a telecommunications network. The telecommunications network may include multiple base stations and mobile stations, the transmission channels being provided for transmitting signals between the base stations and the mobile stations. In uncoordinated operation of the base stations, at least one of the transmission channels is assigned for transmitting signals between one of the base stations and one of the mobile stations as a function of a channel measurement, in which the transmission power on all possible transmission channels is measured, if the previously measured transmission power on this transmission channel is minimal.
