A system includes a pressure regulator including a housing, an inlet for connection to a pressurized gas comprising oxygen, and at least one energy transfer element. The system further includes a respiration facepiece including at least one seal system to form a sealing engagement with the face of a user to encompass the nose and mouth of the user, thereby creating a volume of sealing engagement between the respiration facepiece and the user, an opening into the volume of sealing engagement of the respiration facepiece in communicative connection with an interface for removable attachment of the pressure regulator to the respiration facepiece, and an inspiration port in fluid connection with the interface and in fluid connection with the volume of sealing engagement. The pressure regulator interface includes at least one cooperating energy transfer element such that energy can be transferred between the at least one energy transfer element and the at least one cooperating energy transfer element to transfer at least one of data or power into the volume of sealing engagement.

Data communication and displays for breathing apparatus facepieces and pressure regulators

A respiration system includes a pressure regulator including a housing, an inlet for connection to a pressurized gas comprising oxygen, and a first data communication system, and a respiration facepiece including an interface to which the pressure regulator is removably attachable, at least one seal system to form a sealing engagement with the face of a user to encompass the nose and mouth of a wearer; an inspiration port in fluid connection with the pressure regulator interface and in fluid connection with the interior of the facepiece and at least one display within a volume of sealing engagement with the face of the user that is within the field of view of the user. The pressure regulator interface includes a second data communication system to receive data from the first data communication system to control the at least one display. A sealing attachment may, for example, be formed between the pressure regulator and the interface of the facepiece.

A respiratory half-mask, including a mask body having a front or side filters, and exhalation valves, a head support with two side straps emanating from support, and a strap guide part fastened on the mask body for sliding the mask body along the side straps from a usage position for covering a mouth and a nose of the user into a position for exposing the face of the user. At least one clamping element is adjustably attached to the strap guide part for clamping the side straps to the strap guide part and for fixing the mask body on the two side straps in a usage position.

Respiratory half-mask

A blow filter device for breathing masks and hoods, comprising a blower which is driven by a motor and at least one filter which is arranged upstream from the blower, in addition to an electronic control system for adjusting a predefined airflow volume. The invention is characterized in that the motor is an electronically commutated direct current motor () which is controlled with the aid of a pulse width modulation ratio as a control variable, wherein a calibrating curve is created and stored in the memory () of the electronic control system and is based on a plurality of different filter resistances and a respectively corresponding pulse-width modulation ratio (PWM) and the respective motor speed (n) for a specific volume of air. The direct current motor can be controlled in the hood mode according to the speed (n) measured in relation to the respective filter resistance after activation with the aid of the associated pulse-width modulation ratio read from the calibrating curve and can be controlled in the mask mode independently of the respective filter resistance with a respective specific constant pulse-width modulation ratio (PWM) for the associated mask type, wherein the electronic control system () is associated with an identifying means () which is used to recognize the associated head part and to adjust the operational mode concerned.

Blow filter device

In a respirator mask in which the visor panels can be covered by light-absorbing supplementary panels, first and second snap-in hooks are molded onto opposite sides of the visor panel and a stop is molded onto a corner section to form a guide pocket. The outer contour lines and the convexity of the visor panel and the supplementary panel are identical. To attach the flexurally elastic supplementary panel, it is first fastened in the guide pocket and on the first snap-in hook. Then the opposite side is locked into the second snap-in hook after flexing the supplementary panel.
