The invention relates to an electrically driven device, for example an electric hair removal device, such as a wet or dry shaver, an electric toothbrush or an electric skin treatment device. The electrically driven device comprises a housing having a chassis, wherein the chassis comprises an electric motor having a first drive shaft, a battery unit, and an oscillating body having a second drive shaft. A first longitudinal axis is defined arranged along the second drive shaft, a second longitudinal axis is defined arranged along the first drive shaft, and a third longitudinal axis is defined arranged through the center of the body of the battery unit, wherein the second longitudinal axis and/or the third longitudinal axis are parallel offset to the first longitudinal axis.

The invention relates to a swing bridge for converting a rotary motion into an oscillating motion, especially into a linear oscillating motion, especially within an electrically driven device. The swing bridge comprises an oscillating body defining a plane. The oscillating body comprises a slot arranged in the plane, wherein a first axis extends through the slot perpendicular to the plane, and a drive shaft protruding perpendicular to the plane along a second axis.

The present invention relates to an electric shaver. More particularly, the present invention relates to an electric shaver comprising a handle and a shaver head including at least one cutter unit having a drivable cutter element and a shear foil, wherein the shaver head is connected to the handle by means of a support structure which in some cases may provide for some movability of the shaver head relative to the handle. The shaver head and/or the at least one cutter unit may have an elongated contour with a main axis extending transverse to the handles' longitudinal axis and substantially parallel to a cutting oscillation axis of the cutter element. The shaver head is spaced apart from the handle with a gap defined between a bottom face of the shave head and a top face of the handle, the gap forming a ring-shaped contraction in the outer contour of the shaver around the support structure and giving access to the support structure bridging the gap.

The invention refers to a coupling for transmitting a driving movement from an oscillating transmitter of an electric shaver to a cutter element.

An electrically driven device provided with a housing, an electric motor with a drive shaft having a first rotary axis and a drive pin connected to the drive shaft eccentrically with respect to the rotary axis, and a driven shaft mounted in the housing for performing a pivoting is disclosed. The driven shaft is indirectly coupled to the drive shaft by means of a gear mechanism converting a rotary motion of the drive shaft into a reciprocating pivoting motion of the driven shaft. The gear mechanism comprises one intermediate shaft having a second rotary axis extending in the longitudinal direction of the intermediate shaft and at least one crank arm coupled to the drive pin. The intermediate shaft is coupled to the at least one driven shaft by means of a pivotable bridge such that the intermediate shaft is offset with respect to the at least one driven shaft.

A shaving unit for a dry shaver includes at least one outer cutter and one under cutter. Driven by a motor, the outer cutter and the under cutter are movable relative to each other in an oscillatory motion. The under cutter and the outer cutter, which are biased into relative engagement by at least one spring, slide along a common contact surface. The spring is arranged in such a way that its biasing force always acts at an angle to the direction of oscillation.
