A device includes a bottom support cover, a top bracing cover, an annular passage being defined between the covers, at least one bearing disposed between the covers, and at least one annular seal. The seal provides a fixing portion secured by mechanical link to a first cover out of the bottom support cover and the top bracing cover and at least one sealing lip extending towards the second cover in such a way that a free end of the lip comes to bear via a sliding-contact portion with a sealing surface of the second cover. The second cover is provided with an annular protection rim protruding from the sealing surface, the protection rim being offset towards the annular passage facing the portion of contact of the free end of the sealing lip with the sealing surface.

A suspension thrust bearing device providing a lower support cap, an upper bearing cap and at least one bearing arranged between the caps. The upper bearing cap includes an outer skirt radially surrounding the lower support cap. The lower support cap having at least one annular deflector flange extending towards the outer skirt of the upper bearing cap while remaining radially spaced apart from the outer skirt, the deflector flange having a lower inclined surface extending obliquely downwards.

An axial stiffening insert in a hub of lower annular bearing member provides a lower end curved towards the interior of the device. Lower annular bearing member has at least one slender groove opening radially outwards and having a bottom end opening axially downwards, the damping element providing a portion fitted within the slender groove.

A suspension thrust bearing device for use with a suspension spring in an automotive suspension strut of a vehicle. The device provides a bearing having upper and lower annular bearing members in relative rotation, lower bearing member having a lower cup having at least one protruding indexation element. The device also provides a damping element made of resilient material and interposed between the lower cup and the suspension spring. The indexation element is made of a different material than that of the lower cup, the lower cup being made of a rigid plastic material and the indexation element being made of a resilient material.

The lower annular bearing member has a radial surface and a resilient damper overmolded to the radial surface, which damper has a lower support surface configured to axially support an end coil of the suspension spring. The lower support surface has at least one high portion and at least one low portion that form a waveform, such as a square wave or a sinusoidal wave, in a peripheral direction.

A suspension bearing device, comprising: a bearing, a lower cup and an upper cup centered on a central axis. The lower cup having a body including a tubular axial portion and an annular outward radial portion. The lower cup is provided with a damper pad including: an inner portion disposed against the annular outward radial portion of the body; an outer portion for bearing a suspension spring; and an annular recess for receiving a creep of material of the damper pad when the outer portion is constrained by the suspension spring. The present invention relates to a suspension bearing device, comprising a rolling bearing forming an axial stop along a main axis and at least one seal adapted for protecting the rolling bearing from ingress of water or of polluting particles. The device is characterized in that it also comprises a bottom cup and a top cup made of plastic, in contact with the rolling bearing, the bottom cup forming a bearing means for a suspension spring, and in that the or each seal is made of thermoplastic overmolded onto a first element between the cups and comprises a base of substantially annular shape from which extends at least one sealing lip in contact with the second element between the cups. The invention also relates to a strut of a motor vehicle, comprising a damper and a suspension bearing device as mentioned above.

Suspension thrust bearing device and strut equiped with such a device

The present invention concerns a suspension thrust bearing device adapted to receive a shock absorber piston rod along a main axis (X), the device including a single bearing forming an axial thrust bearing and including an inner race, an outer race and rolling members disposed between the inner race and the outer race, and at least one intermediate member adapted to transmit to the inner race essentially axial forces exerted on the device by a suspension spring. One of the inner race and the intermediate member extend(s) radially beyond the outer race in the direction of the main axis (X), forming a bearing surface for fixing and centering the shock absorber piston rod relative to the device. The invention also concerns a motor vehicle McPherson strut including a shock absorber and a suspension thrust bearing device as referred to above.
