A fail-safe circuit and fail-safe methods for controlling gas valves are provided. In one illustrative embodiment, a fail-safe circuit includes at least one input that can be connected to a control device and at least one output that can be connected to a gas valve. In some cases, the fail-safe circuit may only supply an output voltage for opening the gas valve if the input signal received from the control device includes at least two different successively applied frequency signals. Other methods and embodiments are also contemplated.

Fail-safe circuit for gas valves

A control circuit and methods for controlling gas valves via a relay are provided. In one illustrative embodiment, a control circuit includes or is connected to a relay that controls the opening and/or closing of a gas valve. The control circuit may also include a failsafe circuit that has at least one input that can be connected to a control device and at least one output that can be connected to the relay. In some cases, the fail-safe circuit may only supply an output voltage and/or current to the replay for opening the gas valve if the input signal received from the control device includes at least two different successively applied frequency signals. Other methods and embodiments are also contemplated.

Control circuit for relay-operated gas valves

The invention relates to a control method for gas burners for providing a gas-air mixture. According to the invention, the ionization signal is only used for setting the mixing ratio dependent on the gas quality when the burner flame completely sweeps over the sensor generating the ionization signal. Outside the above-mentioned range, i.e. when the burner flame does not completely sweep over the sensor generating the ionization signal, the gas-air mixture is controlled dependent on the previously determined mixing ratio.

Control method for gas burners

A gas flow controller includes a control valve coupled for actuating a main valve. In one example embodiment, a gas flow controller includes a main valve and a servo valve operated by an actuator, said servo valve being used for controlling the opening of the main valve. The servo valve is implemented in a variety of manners, such as a three-way valve means or as a double two-way valve. The servo valve further communicates, via gas pipes, with a first gas chamber limited by a diaphragm being in operative connection with the main valve, as well as to a second gas chamber in the inlet area, and a third gas chamber in the outlet area.

Gas flow control

A burner system for controlling the gas/air mixture of a burner has a sensor providing a signal dependent on the pressures in gas and air lines supplying the burner. A summing device receives a signal based on the air flow rate and the signal from the sensor, and provides a regulating signal controlling the setting of a gas regulating valve regulating the flow of gas in the gas line.
