A bioproduction mixing system includes a flexible compartment having a first end, a second end, and a sidewall extending therebetween, a center axis passing through the flexible compartment between the first end and the second end. A helical assembly is disposed within the flexible compartment and is suspended between the first end and the second end, the helical assembly being offset from the center axis of the flexible compartment.

A container assembly includes a flexible bag having an interior surface bounding a chamber and an opposing exterior surface. The bag has a bottom end wall that includes a first sparger and a second sparger. The first sparger and the second sparger each have a flexible first sheet overlying a flexible second sheet, the first sheet and the second sheet being secured together so as to form a sparging area bounded between the first sheet and the second sheet, at least a portion of the first sheet overlying the sparging area being gas permeable so that gas can pass from the sparging area, through the first sheet, and into the chamber.

The present set of embodiments relate to a bioproduction system, method, and apparatus for mixing a fluid. The bioproduction mixing system includes an offset helical assembly having a stabilizer and impeller for mixing a fluid within a flexible compartment The bioproduction mixing system is designed for efficient mixing of the fluid and for use with a variety of different impellers that can be located at different locations according to the volume and shape characteristics of the flexible compartment. The bioproduction mixing system is optimized to eliminate stagnation zones while maximizing bulk fluid flow.

A container assembly includes a flexible bag having an interior surface bounding a chamber and an opposing exterior surface, the bag having a bottom end wall being comprised of a first sheet overlying a second sheet, the first sheet and the second sheet of the bottom end wall being welded together so as to form a first sparging area and a separated second sparging area that are both bounded between the first sheet and the second sheet, at least a portion of the first sheet overlying the first and second sparging areas being gas permeable.

A container assembly includes a flexible bag having an interior surface bounding a chamber and an opposing exterior surface, the bag having a top end wall, a bottom end wall, and an encircling sidewall extending therebetween, the bottom end wall including a first polymeric sheet overlying a second polymeric sheet. A first weld line welds the first polymeric sheet to the second polymeric sheet, the first weld line bounding a first sparging area formed between the first polymeric sheet and the second polymeric sheet. A plurality of first perforations are formed through a portion of the first polymeric sheet that overlies the first sparging area so that gas can pass from the first sparging area, through the first perforations and into the chamber of the bag.

A quick coupling for a shaft includes a male coupling having a locking portion with a locking groove formed thereon. A female coupling includes a female body having an interior surface bounding a socket. A tapered port is formed on the female body and extending from the exterior surface to the interior surface thereof. The locking portion of the male coupling is received within the socket so that the tapered port is aligned with the locking groove. A ball bearing is disposed within the tapered port so that a portion of the ball bearing can project into the socket and into the locking groove. A locking sleeve is slidably mounted along the female body so as to cover and interact with the ball bearing.

A shaft coupling assembly includes a hub bounding an opening. The interior surface of the hub includes an annular coupling surface and a receiving surface, the receiving surface sloping away from opening. An alignment rib projects from the receiving surface into the opening. An elongated shaft includes a driver that is configured to be received within the opening of the hub. The driver has an exterior surface that includes an annular engaging surface, a guide surface, and a guide rib radially, outwardly projecting from the guide surface. The guide rib is configured such that when the driver is being inserted within the opening with the guide rib being aligned with the alignment rib, the guide rib contacts the alignment rib so that the guide rib must be offset from the alignment rib before the driver can be fully received within the opening.

Self aligning coupling for mixing system

A mixing system includes a housing and a motor mount disposed on the housing and having a passage extending therethrough. A dive motor is coupled with the motor mount for selectively rotating the motor mount relative to the housing. A rotational assembly includes a hub having a passageway extending therethrough and a casing at least partially encircling the hub, the hub being rotatable to the casing. The rotational assembly is removably coupled to the housing so that the passageway of the hub aligns with the passage of the motor mount.

Mixing systems and related mixers

A container assembly includes a container bounding a chamber and having a floor. A well is mounted on the floor of the container. The well bounds a compartment that extends below the floor of the container and communicates with the chamber of the container. An anchor has a side wall with a first port opening formed at a first end and a second port opening formed on the side wall or at a second end of the anchor. A fluid passageway extends between the first port opening and the second port opening. At least a portion of the anchor is secured within the compartment of the well such that at least a portion of the second port opening is disposed within the compartment. A dip tube is fluid coupled with the first port opening of the anchor.

The LED modular display system includes a frame of support members of triangular cross sections. The frame supports a plurality of LED display modules which include a generally planar front face upon which an array of LEDs is placed. The LED display modules further include inwardly tapered vertical sidewalls and horizontal upper and lower trapezoidal faces. The support members of triangular cross section fit flush against the inwardly tapered vertical sidewalls of the LED display modules. Fasteners on the inwardly tapering walls of the LED display modules engage complementary elements on the support members.

The apparatus is a lamp assembly with a plurality of bulb assemblies used for data (or similar) display with varying character sizes. The bulb assemblies include a reflector with three bosses. Two of the bosses snap detent engage a lampbank while the third boss extends through the lampbank, attaches to a printed circuit board and serves as a standoff or spacer therefrom. The bulb assemblies further include a louver which snap engages onto the lens to form a lens/louver assembly which hinges and snaps to the reflector. The louver can be used as a handle to remove the lens from the bulb assembly.
